I finally got motivated to lose my outer layer of fluffy and get my ass in shape again for the first time since freshman year of college about two weeks ago and because I have limited time was doing a simple diet (aka less calories) and a push up/sit up program I had done successfully before because I don't have time to go to the gym. Well in two weeks I lost 15 lbs and I'm really happy with that, but on Saturday playing basketball I reach back over my shoulder to get a rebound over my head at the same time someone else was going for it and thought I just stretched out my chest muscle, so I didn't do anything Sunday or Monday and went to start week 3 of my mini program today and 7 push-ups in my chest muscle felt like a million needles were jamming into the muscle from the inside. I think I have microtears and will have to stop half my mini program for most likely two weeks. Sigh.

I think you over did it. Need to give your muscles time to repair itself after you work out. Switch up your routine. One day chest and abs, another calves and cardio, etc.
