I know the voting is already over, but for those who are interested (just found it):

The start of the Game 7 between the Spurs and the Mavs. I can only suggest to watch this series to understand why Duncan and Nowitzki were that great in 2006. Also imho the best series in the playoffs in recent history in terms of quality of play.

htf do you penalized a player cause his stats were down, but he still carried his team to the best record in the league, while being 1 foul away from playin in the finals?

18/11 was still good enough to anchor ur team to 63 RS wins, u dont have to be a stat padder to win games...

tim did played 80 rs games

Dude, you were on RealGM back then. How did you not notice that Duncan was playing injured all year due to plantar fasciitis? There isn't anyone who will tell you that Duncan was at his best that year.

Your point that the Spurs still did great doesn't help your cause. As we've continued to see in recent years, as awesome as Duncan was, Pop's ability to adapt when Duncan's not playing like a superstar is amazing.

Ah, this thread.

How could so many smart people get it so wrong?
