Regarding GST, they are only an average SF/C away from being a perennial playoff team. I can totally see them hanging on to Ellis and holding out hope that Curry grows into a franchise player. Problem is that Biedrins, Wright, or Kwame are not the answer and they know it but they've invested $27,000,000 into Biedrins for the next 3 years. They'll have cap space but the cost of an average center may be outside of their reach, especially as Curry's pay increases the same year Biedrins comes off the books. So do they stick it out in middlesville hoping to get lucky with late lottery picks or MLE's? Or do they accept the alternative and offload Lee and Biedrins alongside Ellis and rebuild anew?

Reading Steve Kylers tweets are very depressing. I just want the Magic front office pull off something big that will shut up all those haters.

In last year's finals series the mavs attempted 134 threes in 6 games, 22.33 per game

In last year's first round series the magic attempted 141 threes in 6 games, 23.5 per game.

Is the diffrence between a three point shooting team and a non three point shooting team comes to about 1 three point attempt per game?

Thanks for the info, because I really didn't know that. I wasn't paying attention to how many 3's they took. I was just watching how much of a team they played like, and the Dirk highlights, and how much I wanted Miami to lose.

So, I guess you can win with 3's, just not very often. and, you need a special offensive player like Dirk to make it successful.

Well the latter seems obvious to me but this is the same team that would gut their roster in favor of renting Dwight for half a season so I'm guessing whatever seems obvious gets thrown out the window.

I've said it so many times before, our ownership is too old with way too new of an arena to go into a rebuilding process. If Howard is to be traded it he will be traded for what our ownership considers talent, and not picks/young guys. I just can't see it.

The owner is confident they can sell him on the Bay Area being a great place for Howard to establish his dream of being a "global icon." Plenty of connections in the Asian market. team co-owner, Peter Guber, is CEO of Mandalay Entertainment - film and television company.

Seems like Howard is as into that as he is going to a good team - hence his love for the Nets with DWill not a lock to stay.

Unlikely to happen, but, if he bails, you rebuild.

As for Ellis, while I respect Magic fans interest in him, it's not like the rumored offers for Ellis have been all that great and insulting that GS has turned thme down

Kyler tweeted:
@stevekylerNBA: RT @dlandon13: Are you hearing any other names they are targeting? --> The names they could get are not upgrades... laterals moves.

@stevekylerNBA: RT @dlandon13: ---> Sessions, Ridnour, Crawford, Kaman, Blatche, Warrick, Childress - won't help Orlando

if he's implying all those pieces are attainable, why couldnt Otis flip those pieces to a third team? Main piece I'm speaking of being Kaman to GSW.

And to anyone on the Seesions bandwagon, seems like we can get him if we want.

Are there people still following Kyler? If you are, do yourself a favor and unfollow. Simply put, he is basura, garbage.

We are waiting for a miracle trade to happen but most of these trade scenarios involving Monta Ellis and Steve Nash have a low change of happening. I decided to play with the trade machine and come up with the best and most realistic trade we can make.
With Minnesota if they can't get Crawford then we can send them J Rich since they need a SG, we could send them JJ but i chose JRich instead because of his longer deal and the fact the Wolves have stated they would like move veteran help to balance out their young roster.
With Washington they are looking to move Blatche and some veterans to balance out all the young players they got.
With Cleavland they can get better deal from other teams that need PG help but if the other available ones ( R. Felton, D. Harris, A. Miller) are already moved then we can strike a good proposal like i have show by sending them players that won't hurt their salary cap that they clearly want to preserve.
With Milwaukee they want to move S. Jackson pretty bad and very few teams would want him other than us plus his value is pretty low right now so we can control the players we send them more in our favor and keep our good assets for dealing with other teams.
If we make a drastic splash of a trade like reports are stating we want to make that that helps us put better players around Dwight then i believe these are out most realistic options.
I Know lots of people here do not think too high of M.Beasley but he can create his own shot and SVG should be able to get the best out of him. With the trade of Swapping Jameer for Harris its just a clean swap for too PGs that need a change of scenery .
anyways , im interested to hear what you guys think of these trades.

i think the players we need to move at the deadline are: baby duhon jrich and turk. these guys arent bringing much to the table considering their contracts. turk and jrich are the reason guards have career nights against us. they are too slow to defend a pnr and give up uncontested jumpers all game.
