Props to Randy Wittman for locking in on the right rotations and for being very consistent with holding guys accountable. I like that neither McGee or Young stayed in the doghouse, and both contributed. Wittman got something out of all the guys who played. He's using the veterans the proper way. Mason really came up huge and Wittman rode the hot hand.

The front court had their most dominating game. McGee battled for boards early, but Seraphin and Booker really turned it out in the fourth. Seraphin played so well that even Crawford and Wall stopped chucking. Young even wracked up assists.

POTG is obviously Booker, but I voted Mason just because without his perimeter shooting the Wizards never would have been in position to take the lead and win in the end.

POTG Booker had some amazing rebounds. He's always seemed to have some sense of using his his brawn to get position and leap at the right time, but does a lot of one handed stuff and loses it on the way down. Not so much this game. Lots of solid, two handed grabs. He kept a lot of possessions alive with his rebounding. It wasn't a perfect game (3-7 FTs) but still a great game from him.

Most everyone likely agrees that was Seraphin's best game, not only in his stat line, but in his fearless play against highly regarded and taller opponents. Second half, they went from 14 down to finish 5 up with him in the lineup scoring 10 points.

Mason gets consideration too for the reasons you stated CCJ, but also Nick Young. They cut the lead from 14 to 2 in the 3rd, with Young scoring 9 and assisting on 2 more. He found Mason and Seraphin for 4 assists and 10 points in the 4th, often passing out of a traffic jam. If he would think to pass like that regularly, he would be a really good player. And Young's D in the 2nd half had a lot to do with Bryant shooting 1-10 in the 4th (though he clearly had already fallen off from a hot 1st half; he was tired).

Oh. he's had good games for sure, and that was one of them. That the Wizards beat a very good team with him on the court and mightily contributing decides it for me, but I was a little ahead of myself assuming everyone agrees w/ me.

Standing 6'6.25" he weighed in at 236lbs. He's on record with 7.3% body fat, short he's build like an ox. Strong base, broad shoulders, good leverage, not hard to see why he can bang with some of the bigger guys in this league.

Attitude obviously plays a huge roll as well. He seems to relish the contact and isn't afraid to mix it up.
