Yeah, definitely a tough situation to look back on. Very tenuous, at best, at the time even.

Post occasionally on the Blazer board since I have more of a vested interest in them doing well with being a season ticket holder. Surprised at how well the rebuild went, even though our window is going to be small with West only having a few good seasons left.

No worries. Life causes all of us to float in and out of here on occasion.

Rebuild has been pretty solid and there's a good base so far. Seems like we still have to keep an eye on the PG spot, and the long-term PF spot as well, due to your (in my opinion, well founded) fears of David West and his age and short-term contract. Tyler looks to be a solid 3rd big man, but still not sure of his ability to produce night in and out for 30-35 minutes each night.

Bottom line on all this and a lesson learned around the league. There is a limit to the number of idiots you can put on one team. There might be a guy who is so good you have to put up with him and hope for the best. But when you start to accumulate them you are asking for trouble. If you are even going to entertain the thought of having one volitle personality you need to have a strong leader who can bring that guy in line. Kobe Bryant keeping Ron Artest in line works.

Today it would be intereting know if it was Donnie or Larry or both who signed on for what we were doing back then.
