Other than poor shooting, I'm very happy with those statlines

0-12 from the 3-pt line.
13-13 on free throws.

@JerryZgoda
JJ sprained same ankle as he did earlier this season, says this one is worse. You might see Malcolm Lee soon, tweeps...

I think it also means there won't be any trades moving Luke now.

Adelman said the team will recall rookie Malcolm Lee from Sioux Falls in the D League this weekend as insurance, in case Barea is out for a significant time and in case the Wolves sustain other injuries or get other players in foul trouble during games.

He made it sound like they'd use Lee primarily in emergency situations, but added he won't be afraid to play the former UCLA guard who hasn't yet played an NBA game.

I really can't wait to see how Lee will do among NBA players. Let JJ fully heal before he comes back. This will be the best for him and the team. In case we make the post season, we need him at full strength.

Yes, this. Bring him in slowly, but bring him in. If he can get regular minutes it will help us to know what we have going forward.

Maybe we'll blow out the Lakers by 30 and he'll get some run in the fourth tonight. :wish:

He has been called up.

Good. My biggest fear for tonight, besides no Pek, would be a banged up Barea trying to play and forcing things, getting a ton of shots blocked under the basket, turnovers, etc. Hopefully Lee can take those minutes if really necessary.

JJ out, now Ricky, he might be starting by mid-march the way we're going.

We might really need Lee to play some minutes tonight....and he hasn't even really produced that well in the D-league...

He's produced, 10/6/4 with a couple steals is pretty nice production, the only problem is he's shot atrociously from everywhere but the free throw line.

I don't think there's any way around him getting at least 10 minutes tonight. Hopefully he can at least bring some defensive energy and activity. That might be the aspect of Rubio's game the Wolves will miss the most.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

Zach Harper ‏ @talkhoops
On whether or not Malcolm Lee will be ready to play, Adelman says, "he better be."

Adelman said he needs to play rookie Malcolm Lee more tonight than the five minutes he got Saturday against New Orleans, particularly if Barea doesn't play.

He needs to do so for two reasons: To get Luke Ridnour some rest at point guard and so the Wolves can make a better informed decision about whether they need to acquire another point guard by Thursday's trade deadline.

David Kahn said Saturday there are other way to add a player than a trade, but with other teams looking for point guards as well, there doesn't appear to be a whole lot of options out there, unless you want to lure Stephon Marbury back from China.

Anybody here on the blog up for that?
