Shabazz Muhammad is straight nasty. He'd probably go #1 if he were eligible to do so this year.

I saw him play a couple of times his Sr. year in high school, and he never seemed like an otherworldly athlete like Rose/Westbrook/Ellis. Has his athleticism improved at Duke? He's more of an SG than a PG too isn't he?
^^ RawLew he really isn't anywhere close to their athletism...I watch every duke game I mean the kid can score not sure he will be able to in the nba. But anyway his athletism is prolly worse than OJ mayo (which isn't bad but no where close to Westbrook) I really don't see him being that good at all

Dwight just doesn't like weather. I remember when he was a rookie he said it was too hot here.

You can't move forward if you keep looking to the past...let it go and look to the future...the only thing in the past is memories...recall the good, learn from the bad...but forge ahead all the while.
This is exactly how I have always lived my life. I look at the past as great stories and learning experiences. But, I am always moving forward as the past is done and over with. I don't have time to worry about things that already happened.

+1
I wasted more of my life than I care to admit before changing my habits.
On a side note someone should send Dwight an audio book of "The Principle of the Path" as I don't think he would have the attention span to read it at this point...
It might just prompt him to fire his agent/ get rid of his entourage and bring him back down to earth.

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt XV: Trade Deadline cont.
MIAMI — One of the most dominant scorers in Orlando Magic history believes the team’s greatest rebounder should stick around.
“If I were him, I would stay," Tracy McGrady said of Magic center Dwight Howard. “Where’s he going to go? Why do you want to go to New Jersey, go to Brooklyn? Look at their team."
As next Thursday's NBA trade deadline approaches, the biggest intrigue by far is what will happen with Howard, a three-time NBA rebounding champion who has asked to be traded. The Nets (13-27) are one of three teams Howard has put on his list as acceptable destinations; the others are the Lakers and Dallas.
But who knows what the Lakers, who have big men Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum as trade possibilities, might end up doing, and the Mavericks don’t have the assets to pull off a deal.
McGrady, who won scoring titles with the Magic in 2002-03 and 2003-04 and now plays for the Hawks, believes it doesn’t make sense for Howard, who can opt out of his contract and become a free agent this summer, to leave Orlando (25-15) any time soon.
“I think it’s up to him to recruit guys who can come to Orlando," said McGrady, speaking to FOX Sports Florida when the Hawks were in Miami for Wednesday’s 89-86 loss to the Heat. “It’s a great city. It’s great weather. You already have been there eight years. You’re established there. With him, he’s one of those guys that should try to stay with one team and try to make it better there. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side. So you already have something good there. Why try to go somewhere that you just never know?"
Then again, McGrady left Orlando himself after playing there from 2000-04. This despite having grown up 45 minutes down the road.
“Well, I didn’t have the talent that he played with," said McGrady, who was dealt to Houston in June 2004 when he had the ability later that summer to leave as a free agent. “It wasn’t even close. So there’s a good reason why I left. But my decision was definitely different from what his decision is based on."
And everyone in the NBA is eagerly waiting on what decision will come out of Orlando next week.

I tend to agree with T-Mac. Their situations were different. And the Nets are garbage.

And, I wouldn't put my faith in a team with new ownership, new coaches, new players n such. No continuity or consistency.

sorry if this was posted earlier...didn't see it:
It's no secret that Minnesota is likely to trade Michael Beasley, with the most interested potential suitors being the Boston, the Lakers and Orlando. The Magic are pursuing multiple avenues in an attempt to improve the team in the hopes that a long playoff run could persuade Howard to stay. If Orlando holds off on trading Howard at the deadline, sources say Beasley could be a viable piece for the Nets to add as they try to upgrade their talent to make the team more attractive to Howard and Deron Williams. So far yes, but if they land D12, re-sign Deron, Marshon continues to improve and they draft a good player at forward they will have a very good team. And im not even counting on they re-signing Lopez.

however the other part of me has been so miserable as a fan this season, i just want him out of there for the best return. and the best return is not the nets. and after how's hes treated this organization and teammates this season, f**k his "list".
i would love for him to be traded to some sh*t box rental team he hates like kings or gs or somewhere where he is not the biggest star and its clear (lakers or bulls). that way, he'd have to put his money where his mouth is and walk in free agency to NJ if he wants, and we'll still have gotten assets for him, but it will tarnish his image and be inconvenient and embarrassing for him to be on 3 teams within 3 months.
i feel confidence in alex matins doing the right thing. and i feel confident otis will be gone. and i would much rather watch a team like the cavs or sixers for the next few years and have fun cheering for our team again.
Well said, I agree.
