Why would they trade Bogut for Martin and Dalembert? I want Bogut gone, but that trade doesn't make any sense.

How is Bogut tradeable right now when he probably won't play again this season unless we are going to give him away?

When is the last time someone was traded when they were hurt?

Bogut's time frame for the injury was 8-12 weeks 6 weeks ago yesterday and it hasn't changed, he's back in full rehab and has been working out for a couple of weeks now. Which part of that says he won't play again this season to you?

I guess I would say wish in one hand and **** in the other. Let me know which one fills up first.
"I just wanted to play because I just love the game," Jennings said. "It doesn't matter to me. I get up to play basketball. It's my job. I have to still be a professional and finish the season."

Gery is a company man. Remember that 90% of his trade rumblings are generally things that don't cause any waves in the organization. Stuff like "a source told me that Michael Redd is a top three SG and his team would love to have him"

For Gery to go on the record that the Bucks have some potential structures on the table that they are willing to accept and might very likely accept is legitimate. If he were just blowing smoke with his usual "I talked to a GM" crap, he'd face some significant blowback from the organization for causing needless drama in the locker room. But since he knows the organization is prepared to move on from Bogut at this point, he is safe in reporting what he did.

Whether it happens or not is another matter. The part we don't know is whether or not a loss to the Knicks tomorrow night means a greater chance of a win now trade option or a blow it up trade option potentially occuring.

Well done sir. I actually lol'd at work reading that.

I would love that trade for Jamal Crawford and Raymond Felton spoken of before last night. Both are flat out warriors and still young and productive.

I am just elated they are exploring moving Bogut. It is about time. This should have been done 3 years ago when GM Hammond first got here.

What Bogut does and provides on this team comes a dime a dozen. You can get a PF that does what he does and any Center to take fouls and defend the paint. What are needed are wings.

really hope this is a joke. You'd trade Bogut for vets?

To be fair, nobody said anything about vets.

I agree Woelfel usually gets the names right, but exaggerates the situation. His calls on outcomes have seemed more speculative.

Then the Bucks should do it and wish him well. He will do well in the right situation. But he is a player you will have to fit around other good players.

Bogut was NEVER A #1 OVERALL TALENT like many of you thought or hoped he would be. The Bucks waited too long to figure that out.

It doesn't make any sense to a team with little talent that wants to rebuild.

But for an owner like Herb Kohl who feels that a .450 winning percentage is much better than a .300 winning percentage, moving Bogut for Martin and Dalembert is a huge win now move that might get this team into the playoffs this year or at least position them for our usual run at .500 next year.

Bogut likely doesn't play this year. Dalembert gives the Bucks legit size in the middle and he's under contract for another year at a cheap price.

I'm not a huge fan of Martin and think he has his own injury issues. But the Bucks believe they are desperate for scoring help and not crap scoring help. Martin is in a shooting slump this year. His TS has dropped down from 60% to 56%. But as we know, 56% is a huge improvement for this team.

I know people don't like that deal. Just noting that type of deal, especially where Capt. Jack goes out with Bogut, holds a lot of appeal to an organization with the mindset of the Bucks.

It does if you throw Jonny Flynn or Terrence Williams or Chase Budinger in it! They have wings to give. But you are right it is a dumb move in essence. I don't like Martin at all.

I would like younger pieces though for sure. We'll see. I am just giddy to rid ourselves of Bogut to move forward.

That trade would be out of character even for Kohl. Bogut, back or not, is far more valuable than a single post season appearance.

Gery Woelfel is right about as often as Bogut is healthy.

Who says it is a single post season appearance? They'd be poised to win 38-40 games next year if they resigned Ersan. Plus in that deal I made up, we'd also send out Delfino and get back the Knicks pick.

I can totally see Herb Kohl being rocked about going into next year with a starting lineup of Dalembert, Ersan, Dunleavy, Martin and Jennings. Add in our "young core" of Tobias, Leuer, Moute and say picks 13 and 15 in the draft.

We'd continue the 25-year legacy of trying to win 40 games and rebuild at the same time. Makes perfect sense.

Plus the money side of it all works. No long high dollar contracts. And we'd save $4 million in 2012-12 payroll to go towards Ersan.

Bogut would be back and the Bucks would be back in the Playoff "hunt" next season. So you're trading Bogut just to get in this year when you would be better next by not making the move. It would be difficult to say that team is better than a 2013 squad with Bogut, Ersan and 2012 pick.

I suppose Kohl could be that desperate for a few extra 2012 wins, but that's lunacy.

Didn't Bogut avoid surgery? How is it so certain he's not playing this season, especially by Playoff time?

Yes, you described DeAndre Jordan. If that's what you want why not trade him for Jordan and an asset? I have to imagine you could get it - then have the Clippers play Bogut at more than the 50% capability you want him to play at.

Here's what I would have written if I thought they should trade Bogut for Deandre Jordan:
"The Bucks should trade Bogut for DeAndre Jordan."

You don't really think my opinion on how they should play Bogut would be taking away 50% of his game, do you? That's just hyperbole to help your point, right? I've read your posts. You're much, much smarter than that.
