ATL is really going to give up Josh Smith and Joe Johnson for Jameer, JJ, and JRich? GTFO. Maybe if we throw in Ryno but no way would the Hawks give up 2 all-star caliber players to not get anything of value in return. Jameer and JRich are both old and on the decline, and JJ has very little upside anymore. The Hawks don't get any younger, don't get any picks, and don't receive an all-star back. It's not like Joe Johnson is totally invaluable, either. He's good enough to have been selected as an all-star again THIS year. Sure, his contract is lousy but we're not talking about current-day Rashard Lewis or Gilbert Arenas here. Joe can still play so he still has value.

Why would ATL do that besides to cut salary?? They get way worse, and still have old guys with multiple years on their contract aside from JJ.

What you don't mention is that they save $78,793,589 dollars. Yes, that is how absolutely terrible Joe Johnson's contract is.

So heres my Ideal scenario: Dont know if it works but in a way its kinda like the CP3 deal I read in a article that Orlando is still telling teams there not trading D12 but if they do they want a Melo type of deal. How does this sound?

Lakers get:
Dwight Howard
Luis Scola
Jameer Nelson

Magic get:
Andrew Bynum
Devin Ebanks
Goran Dragic
Chandler Parsons
Kevin Martin
3 1rst round picks (2 from Lakers)

Rockets get:
Pau Gasol
Hedo Turkoglu
Chris Duhon

"Ideal" is certainly the key word here as the Lakers get the best of this trade hands down. No thanks.

Yes....

That was the 4th game in 5 days for the Bulls and Orlando was coming off an embarrassing loss against the worst team in the NBA ANNNNNNNNNNNNNNND we almost lost while having an 18 point lead.. YES, we need change.

Not to be debbie downer but we are a 1st round and out playoff team.

Now, if our shots hit then we are unstoppable but our shots usually don't hit so we are at mediocrity.

We have had a very easy schedule up until now by the way.

interestingly, stats say we are better with duhon and the starters than with nelson. 0.04 better offensively, which is statistically insignificant. however, 0.18 better defensively, which is damn significant. sample size is more than sufficient as duhon with the starters is the 3rd used lineup and one of the three with over 100 minutes logged.

duhon is terrible and for the argument's sake i will assume he produces **** offensively. however, this team defends much better with him than nelson and the rest of the team is able to pickup the slack offensively when they play with duhon. that means jameer has to put up better numbers with better efficiency to overcome that 022 difference over 1, which is HUGE.

that strengthens my theory that jameer is being torched by opposing guards because of his size. he is best suited as a 6th man role at this point of his career.

edit: duhon /jj/q/davis/howard line up is the worst offensive line up and has a win share of 0%. the closest one features JRich instead of JJ, which has the same terrible offensive rating and worse defensive rating. it is not about JJ or Jrich then, just throwing it out there.

"Aaron Gordon will cost Henny's job by Dec 2016." Predicted Dec 2014.

"O'Quinn will have a longer and more successful NBA career than Nicholson." Predicted Jun 2012. Verified on Dec 2014.

the problem is Dwight does not want to go to LA anymore Im not even sure the Lakers would move Bynum straight up just to rent him

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

Duhon fails the eye test, I don't care what the stats say if anything it's more of an indictment on Nelson.

WTF Happened to Nelson? at one time he was turning into an amazing player, floor general and clutch player, who was fearless what the hell happened to that guy?

I've noticed that too. Jameer|Redick or Duhon|JRich works for some reason.

Dwight has already expressed why he wants to leave Orl, but he has never elaborated on why he wants to play for the Nets, Mavs, or Lakers?

I wish the media did a better job of asking Dwight questions. Instead, they keep hammering him with the same old boring questions.

Who gives a ****. it is NOT his decision. It is the Orlando Magic's front office that gets to make that decision...

As much as I like Dwight.. he can't have his cake and it it too... He brought this upon himself. Hell, I wish we could ship him to Charlotte just to make a statement. - Oh wait, they beat us the other night...

Dwight pretty much has a no trade clause by saying that he will not resign with the traded team. So unfortunately it does matter what Dwight wants.
