If the Wiz are interested in him, would they trade Lewis and 2012 1st for Bogut and S-Jax?

Hmmm, Bogut for Turiaf(expiring)+Nick Young(expiring)+Vesely+2012 1st works, but I agree with PP that Houston, NOH, or GS are the teams we are probably dealing with. I'm betting we'd have to put Harris in the deal with NOH to get them to do it. I really doubt GS parts with Klay or Udoh, but I wonder if they would move Lee+Ellis for Bogut+Jax? Not that I want that but I could see Hammond drooling over it.

I don't know if he'd be all over that. Lee is so massively overpaid that I can't see Kohl taking on that contract. I'm the original David Lee fanboy here, but that contract is horrendous.

This is another trade that I could actually see happening. (Though I wouldn't want it)
Mark Jackson wants to become a defensive team and Bogut would go a long way. They have Thompson to take Ellis' place and I'm not sure they view Lee as all that valuable, especially on that team. Plus GS has a good history with Jax.

I think the reason for the lack of appetite for the sustained rebuild strategy, despite it having many advocates here, is that it has never worked. While it's emotionally satisfying to blow it up real good and dream about the tomorrow that never comes, the NBA fates reward only two strategies: aggregate vets or get lucky with a Rose or Timmy when you're NOT in sustained rebuild mode.
Picking up an LBJ or Durant on a team that sucks hasn't won a ring yet and probably never will. The lack of complementary pieces or the likelihood that your star takes his talents to some distant beach before you can replace the pieces you jettisoned to get him in the first place seem to militate against it.
Maybe your definition of success is different from mine, which is winning a championship. If the goal is SportsCenter relevance and a home playoff series, but never winning it all, I concede that a rebuild can turn you into Philly. I guess I just don't see that as a big improvement over our current dismal and sustained mediocrity. Neither is likely ever to turn into jewelry, and maybe, albeit counterintuitively, the latter is closer to a ring than the former.

So if that GS trade went down, we would be playing:
Jennings - Ellis - Tobes - Lee - Gooden?
That team would be fun to watch offensively. But man would they be the worst defensive team in the history of life.

I don't see how that's a sh*t point, so much as it is just a fact.
Actually I was referring to him saying Bogut and Jennings couldn't draw a high lotto pick despite the fact that Bogut alone drew an offer for the #2 in the most recent draft.
The age thing was just silly, you know as well as I do that he said 28 because because the higher age sounds older lol, Bogut is 27 for the remainder of this season and the first part of next season, just say his actual age. Guys do it all the time lol, "oh really, I could have sworn he was only 25", "he's got 4 years left, well of course including the last 10 games of this season as a year"

Again though that wasn't the point I was talking about, just pointed it out.

I think there's a better chance of me nailing Halle Berry tonight than Jennings being traded - unless someone came in with a ridiculously crazy offer for him.
Again, I think one of the main reasons why Bogut is on the block is because the team wants to make a commitment to Jennings as this team's star going forward. That's not to say that Bogut and Jennings don't get along because they do. And he obviously gets along great with The Ultimate Teammate. So those two guys being made available isn't about a personality or chemistry clash with Jennings or anything along those lines. It appears to be entirely about the perception of what he can become if other players are put in place alongside him.
Are you pretty sure about Jennings? I do not get this team. They get rid of TJ, Williams, and Sessions. BJ is not that much better than these guys. Not a true PG.

I think he said 28 because Bogut will be turning 28 next year... which is when he'll actually be coming back and playing for them, unless they rush him back this year.
I didn't take it as spin or hyerbole or whatever and I wouldn't view the trade any different, honestly.

Curry is really the only thing the Warriors can send us that would make it worth it to move Bogut. Klay Thompson is not enough.

Couldn't you not see something like: Bogut + Jax for Ellis + Lee?
Not saying it's something anyone would want. But doesn't that just seem like a move the Bucks would make?

Like I've been saying, a lot of the stuff I've been hearing lately makes no sense to me. I don't get much of the anti-Bogut sentiment and I don't get the apparent lack of any concern whatsoever about Jennings. I also think more players should be on the block right now than are being shopped.

Re: Woelfel - 70% bogut's gone by next week
Paul, the reason we focus on the age part is because it is relevant. Go back to that article that Sidney Lanier posted two weeks ago about big-men being more prone to breaking down.
I can't recall a big with as many issues as Bogut suddenly drinking from the fountain of youth at age 28 and then returning to his previous level of athleticism. And whether he's 27 today or 28 in November, the track record of the last four years fits a pattern of bigs who break down.
No question he can effectively play good center in this league for another 3-4 years at a 12/10 type level. That has value. But part of that value is due to the dearth of guys who play that position well.

Re: Woelfel - 70% bogut's gone by next week
You saw my extremely bold and large "WILL BE" 28 years old.
It's like saying there is a top 3 class of Beal/Davis/Barnes.
Let's say for sake of argument that they are all 19 and will turn 20 some time in late 2012.
"Man, our record sucks but I'd really like to build around one of the top studs in the draft. They are all potential studs for our team and will only be 20 by the start of next season."
Yes, Bogut might play 15 meaningless games to close this season in the hypothetical trade this season. I guess they could sell a few tickets.
I did not say 28 because it sounded that way, I bolded WILL BE in massive font. I'm saying when the games mean something in 2012-2013 and they are starting to try to win with their new core, he'll be 28 less than a month into the season.

How about Curry, Udoh, Biedrens for Bogut and Beno?

Yeah, I realize that. I really, really, REALLY like Klay Thompson. But I agree, I'd want to get more than just him in a Bogut deal.

I'd do any Bogut deal with Curry. Then of course we land the #1 pick and get Davis.
Jennings/Curry/Harris/Ilyasova/Davis.
