That's a good one.

I dunno, you guys are asking for an unprotected first round pick for a guy who can barely stay on the court. How is my trade idea any more far fetched?

One team reportedly interested is the Washington Wizards, who would likely want to swap bigs and give the Bucks JaVale McGee. But likely not at the price of taking on Jackson, too.

Green font next time. :)

McGee for Bogut doesn't match salary wise. And if you add Jackson, that's even more salary that we'd have to give back to you, which includes Lewis and probably Blatche.

Looking at your roster, Wizards don't want Udrih, Mbah Moute, Jackson or Gooden. Paying a backup PG to play 10-12 minutes a game $7 million is insane. And paying a middling small forward close to $5 million is also asinine.

I would think the Wizards would be interested in Harris and Sanders if paired with Bogut.

Hey we could just add our first round pick and get rid of Jackson!

But we don't really want McGee... because he isn't very good.

We don't want Blatche, because he is terrible.

Actually, I think McGee would flourish under a guy like Skiles. Kid is averaging 11 and 8 and what, 2 blocks a game? He doesn't have a clue on defense, and has low basketball IQ. If Skiles can't coach him up, then he's a lost cause.

But it seems like you guys are asking for the moon for a guy who hasn't played a full season since his rookie year.

No Blatche. I'd prefer the Bucks stay far, far away from Blatche.

I just don't understand why any team holding Bogut, injured or not would care to "swap bigs" when that big is Javale Mcgee. Especially after dealing with Jackson's idiocy this year. If a deal like that is made there has to be some other benefit to the Bucks, because giving up your best player and a headcase but returning a headcase is not very smart.

Of course management would be serious about piggybacking a future expiring (or amnesty candidate) along with our best trade asset. If anyone still exists who doubts the stupidity of our organization, look no further than this. Sell him on his own if you're serious about dealing him, this is not rocket science.

Or all the Livingston/BJ, Udrih/BJ action this year.

Wanting more than McGee and Blatche is not 'asking for the moon'. We want at least a decent young player or a lottery pick between 8-12... something better than the garbage on your team.

The only assets you guys have are Wall and your pick as far as I am concerned.

Don't worry, it isn't just to trash your team. The Bucks are awful too and we have limited assets as well.

Ugh, the Wiz have nothing worth trading for besides their pick. Every player except Wall should have negative value around the league. Hope this rumor is false.

His career PER is better than Bogut's. His PER is much higher than Bogut's since Bogut's injury.

He's nowhere near the defender a healthy Bogut is. He's a better defender than Bogut when Bogut is sitting on the bench in street clothes (but it's closer than you might think).

Mcgee to Milwaukee needs to happen, if for no other reason than the reality show potential of combining McGee and Skiles. I'd have them live together too. They do have the Michigan connection though(Skiles @ MSU and Epic Vale from Flint), so maybe it would turn out like those coming of age movies where Skiles helps McGee become a man and McGee helps Skiles leran to love again.

Or maybe Skiles would just murder McGee. Either way, I'd watch.

The thing is, Javale isn't a headcase, he just doesn't have any feel for the game. He's got all world potential but has never put it all together. But by no means he is a cancer.

Blatche on the other hand...

I still like Young+Turiaf+Vesely+2012 1st for Bogut. McGee instead of Vesely also works but I'd try and flip McGee for another pic if we got him.

I disagree, Raf. I wouldn't mind guys like SJax and Udrih for a season if we gave up Blatche in the process.

Wiz trade: Lewis, Blatche, Seraphin, and Crawford
Bucks trade: Bogut, SJax, Udrih
TRADE ID 6058128

Washington adds some vets to try to start winning some games. MIL saves money over the next two seasons due to Lewis' buyout clause (although they do add an extra year of Blatche) and they get a couple of young prospects.

Everyone on this roster should be on the block. However, having Bogut as the first out the door is just bass-ackwards. I get that he has perceived value, even on the injured list, but it's still smacks of selling low. It's a panic move - with no !@$# plan. F@#$@# the eigth seed and a four game blowout by the Bulls. This would be strictly Hammond temporizing, trying to save his job.

Is Skiles going to be the coach next year? If not, what system will the new coach use? How about acquiring/unloading players to fit that model, even a little bit?

How about unloading Jack first? He is just complete dead wood here at best, a corrupting influence at worst. How about unloading Gooden, while his percieved value is high? Good luck moving either of them, but they need to go first.

I've moved to the camp that Jennings is a Jekyll & Hyde SG in a small PG package. How about the Buck's shoot for moving him, while he's riding a hot streak? Unless, the Buck's have and informal agreement to terms with Ersan for the future, move him now too, while he's hot. Those two should have some potential for a real return.

I don't want the Buck's to do a "win now" crap trade for mediocre vets that sets this club back for the next several years. Unless the trade brings back real prospects, or early picks, please pass. I'd much prefer regime change.

I do find the outside opinions of these posters interesting. It puts into perspective that the fan impression of Bogut outside this board is one of extremely low value, primarily due to the injuries.

I realize that Bogut has a lot more value to GM's who know they need a big to anchor the defense, including stats guys like Morey. But that perspective is also tempered by the injury situation.

Basically what I'm saying is that I don't think we are ever going to get any blockbuster offers. So we might as well make up our minds whether we want Bogut going forward or would rather mix it up with a trade and see what happens.
