I disagree, Raf. I wouldn't mind guys like SJax and Udrih for a season if we gave up Blatche in the process.

Wiz trade: Lewis, Blatche, Seraphin, and Crawford
Bucks trade: Bogut, SJax, Udrih
TRADE ID 6058128

Washington adds some vets to try to start winning some games. MIL saves money over the next two seasons due to Lewis' buyout clause (although they do add an extra year of Blatche) and they get a couple of young prospects.

Bad contracts like the ones Udrih and Moute have are what got Washington to where they are now in the first place. Mid or lower level guys making that much damages cap room. Personally, I wouldn't do it.

I'd rather ask for guys like Harris and Sanders, especially if we're doing Milwaukee a favor by taking Bogut off their hands. AND giving them McGee.

PP, I think a lot of posters overvalue Bogut as well.

But he is worth more than McGee and Blatche. Blatche has negative trade value... he is awful.

Worth what though? He's played in 12 games this year. If he has shown any inclination of getting healthy, he either wouldn't be on the trade block or would fetch a lot more than the Wizards would offer. Bogut is a pretty good center WHEN HEALTHY, but he's missed what, about 120 games out of a possible 250+ the last 3 seasons? Regardless of his skills, he's made of glass.

Yeah theres no way that McGee and Blatche get Bogut.

Bogut is recently removed from a DPOY type year.

Udrih's contract isn't horrible, it's almost up and he's even threatened to opt out after this year (not buying it though). If you want a horrible contract, look no further than Blatche's, that thing is toxic. As for you guys doing us a favor by taking Bogut off our hands, did you mean Jackson? You're doing us a favor by taking the best asset we have and then requesting our previous 2 first round picks. Thanks..
Go Bucks!

Vesely, Turiaf and Young for Bogut. The bucks also have the option to trade 1st rd pick with the wizards. For all the people that want a lottery pick for Bogut, we get the 6th pick last year.

A couple of those were absolutely fluke injuries. Theyre not going to give him away for someone elses garbage. Outside of Howard he is probably the best big available.

I don't think the sentiment is so much that Bogut isn't worth having, a lot of the focus on injury is preemptive haggling, though the downward trend of his shooting over the last two years is concerning. That being said you aren't going to get a favorable response to anything involving Washington's first round pick, the responses thus far have included voices from across the roster construction spectrum (in terms of patience and youth vs. immediate improvement with veterans) and if nobody has said yes thus far nobody is going to say yes.

Myself I'd be pretty comfortable offering McGee and Vesely, particularly if Harris could also be included coming back, I'd be comfortable including Singleton for the same purpose, and would also be willing to offer up Jordan Crawford. I realize that's not a cornucopia of talent but our roster is largely ass and you work with what you've got.

That is awful.

Let's just call Jackson and Lewis even. We'll most likely be paying both players not to play for their respective teams next year.

Udrih's expiring > Blatche's 3/23 remaining.

Bogut >>>>>>>>>> Crawford and Seraphin.

Oh I agree entirely. I really want nothing to do with Blatche or JaVale. If we did a pick swap of say our projected 11th pick for their projected 5th pick, I might be ok then.

They do have the Michigan connection though(Skiles @ MSU and Epic Vale from Flint), so maybe it would turn out like those coming of age movies where Skiles helps McGee become a man and McGee helps Skiles leran to love again.

Or maybe Skiles would just murder McGee. Either way, I'd watch.

I don't see the Wizards being able to move Blatche unless it's for someone even more overpaid (like Ben Gordon). I don't see MIL touching him with Gooden already in tow and Ersan hitting free agency. Just no way.

Bogut/Jackson for Lewis/McGee really doesn;t help Milwaukee -- even if the Wiz include some middling prospects like Vesely or Crawford. (Again, I think it's highly unlikley that the Wiz would include a first round pick for anyone on the Bucks roster given our owner's repeated public statements about his affinity for building through the draft).

It saves MIL no money next season, and Jackson is already coming off the books next summer. The only ways this helps Milwaukee are (a) if Bogut is truly damaged goods and will never return close to previous form or be able to stay on the court or (b) if Skiles can get McGee to realize his considerable defensive potential. If it's (A) the Wiz aren;t touching Bogut (please). B is highly speculative.

I doubt there's anything here more than Stein asking a friend for some bullsh*t he can throw into a pre-deadline column.

Yeah, go easy on the Wizards fans. Everyone has their own opinion on assets. I'm glad they are here and part of the dialogue.

Of course since the Wizards discussion is now public, it likely means Grunfeld leaked it to his buddy Marc Stein since the Bucks asking price was too high. Thus a Washington deal has zero chance of happening.

As much as I'd like to be on the other end of a Ernie Grunfield deal, I dont' like anything on their roster besides Wall and the 1st round pick. A few of the younger players are somewhat intriguing, like Crawford, Singleton and Booker, but I don't consider them any more than role players.

Bucks (Kohl) are not going to give Bogut away for nothing--i.e. that trash the Wizards fans are peddling.

From what I've heard: lottery team(s), but not necessarily lottery pick(s). (Not to say that a pick couldn't be in a deal, it just wasn't part of those that I heard).
