Can't they just amnesty him? Or does that rule only allow teams to amnesty players they signed as a FA?

As far as doing the trade, I would sign it in a heartbeat. Not that I dislike having Beasley on the team, particularly not after he's been playing decent team ball as of late but this trade would give us a legit Shooting Guard that can hit three pointers. It also balances out our team. Wes and Webster could play more minutes at the 3 spot with this move. Although they've been playing there a lot already with Barea and Ridnour playing many minutes at the SG spot.

If Orlando isn't willing to trade Redick, would anyone here be in favor of swapping Beasley for Richardson and the Magic's 1st round pick?

I've thought about it. Right now that pick would be at 26. A little too low for my liking, but it could work.

He most certainly would not. Beasley is not as good as Turk. Turk is a playmaker who gets Orlando easy buckets. Beasley has no play-making skills whatsoever. Beasley is a talented chucker, but Turk gives the offense a lot more...Even in his bad year, he is still better and about as consistent.

Richardson just sprained his ankle.

I think a Barea-Richardson deal makes some sense. No thanks on Beas for Richardson. Not where I'd want to use our cap space.

Redick is the only player from Orlando who I'd like to add for Beasley. The rest of their roster is just so meh. Anderson doesn't make sense here and he has more value than Beas. I'd stay away from Jrich as far as i can, he's a "has been athletic freak" on the decline plus not a suspect character guy. Adelman wants his SG to be able to handle the ball and make plays for teammates and Jrich is average in those aspects.

They used the clause on Arenas

Is Redick any better?
