Bucks fans are serious when they say they would want our first round pick. WOW. They do realize that Bogut has been injury prone the last 3-4 years...right?

More like four years ago.

We need guys that can play, not someone that looks good in a suit. And even when he's played the last two seasons, it's obvious his not quite the same player anymore.

Why would Milwaukee do this? The only plausible reason I can think of is that they believe/know that Bogut is damaged goods, will never return to his previous levels of production, and will always be an injury risk.

So if that's the case, why on earth would we want him?

Statistically maybe. But i think Mcgee's reputation kills his trade value.

There is a thread on a hawks board about a Marvin/McGee trade that got a mixed reaction and Hawks fans generally don't think much of Marvin. Not that fan's opinions match the FO opinion.

And as I said a week or so ago, the league is filled with huge egos. There's always going to be GMs or coach that will get infautated by the talent and think they are just the guy to make McGee into a player.

If Kwame can get Caron, McGee should be able to fetch something useful.

If He doesn't I wouldn't move him.

If any trade goes down with MIL, I would love to have Larry Sanders thrown in - he hasn't had the chance to show what he can do in extended minutes yet. Low risk player imo

It appears Gasol has been traded. Unclear to whom or for what yet. Monitoring twitter.

Pau Gasol just got traded either to HOU or GSW

HOU is Gasol for Dragic/Martin/Scola OR Lowry/Scola

GSW deal is Gasol + Artest + 1st round pick LAL for Curry, Wright, Lee, and perhaps Biedrins...

That GSW deal is incredibly bad for the Warriors and highway robbery for the Lakers.

Jerry West is on GSW's payroll. What do you expect?

Whichever trade LAL is making, I think they'll regret it. They're putting too much reliance on Bynum - who's proven to be injury-prone. And Pau is still a legitimately great player, imo. And I do NOT see them as being in serious contention to get Howard.

Edit - my bad, I didn't notice Lee being in the GSW deal. That's an interesting deal.

Roland Lazenby (very well-respected, plugged in, LA reporter/writer) started the fire storm with this tweet:

It seems we'll soon be getting news that Gasol has been traded. No details confirmed, but he's apparently gone.

No one has been able to confirm it, including Larry Coon who always has good sources in the Lakers FO and the league office.

Rumors say that Andrew Bogut asked to be traded. So i expect him out of Milwaukee anyday now. I would think the Wizards are the front runner team for him. Only time will tell.

Larry Coon tweets:

Still no confirmation on anything Gasol related -- and I checked with one of the best-connected people I know. GMs call HIM to find out.

Prada had a poignant comment on the rumored Bogut + Jackson for McGee + filler trade:

Would you rather pay McGee a five-year, $52 million deal four-year, $44 million deal or pay Bogut a two-year, $27 million deal and Stephen Jackson a one-year, $10 million? At least there's a chance McGee lives up to his contract.

That's a good point.

Michael Lee says the Bogut deal is hard to pull off because the Wizards don't have the salary filler to make it work. That would imply that the foundation of the deal is McGee + Turiaf for Bogut. The Wizards need to add about $1.2M in outgoing salary to make it comply with the CBA. Roger Mason alone isn't enough and the Bucks would have to cut two players if we added a fourth guy in the package.

The only way it would work would be if it was McGee + Turiaf + one of Singleton, Seraphin, Crawford, Young or Vesely. Young probably wouldn't agree to it and the Wizards probably wouldn't include Vesely.

Would you be willing to add either Crawford or Singleton to a McGee + Turiaf package?

Much as I like Crawford I would put him in that deal he's a good player but he still a chucker That this team needs to get rid of. So i would do that deal in a heart beat. It"s about building for the future and when Bogut healthy he is a top 5 center easily. Javale has more upside. but he is way to inconsistent wizards need to move forward. Wall and Bogut is two key pieces moving forward. Also you can add Booker to that core as well.
