CHA/LAL/HOU/MIN-All wants are granted

Post#1 » by TayP » Sat Mar 10, 2012 12:12 am

Charlotte trades Boris Diaw/Dj Augustine/Matt Carroll
Gets Metta World Peace/Steve Blake/Brad Miller/Terrance Jones/2012 Dallas 1st/2012 Knicks1st/2013 Lakers 1st
Lakers trade Pau Gasol/Metta World Peace/Steve Blake/2012 Dallas 1st/2013 Lakers 1st
Gets Michael Beasley/DJ Augustine/Luis Scola/Boris Diaw
Rockets trade Kevin Martin/Luis Scola/Terrance Williams/2012 Knicks 1st
Gets Pau Gasol/Matt Carroll
T-Wolves trade Michael Beasley/Brad Miller
Gets Kevin Martin
Why they do it
Bobcats trade Diaw who wants to be traded. They get Lakers pick next year because we take on Peace's and Blake's contract. We get Knicks 1st because I'm sure the Rockets would rather have Kyle Lowry then the 15th or 16th pick.We help them out.Small market teams have to take on salary for picks. Bobcats wanted T-Will but he was taking a spot before them.

Lakers save a lot of money for next season(19.1 million). They also get younger and deeper.

Rockets get Gasol without giving up Lowry and will have enough money to pair a defensive minded center with him.

T-Wolves get the veteran leadership and scoring 2 guard they need without giving up picks.

I think this works for all teams.

I would imagine the Wolves would take this. Lakers should don't know if they would, I wouldn't do the deal if I'm Houston but apparently they are interested? Charlotte should just because of the picks.

Yes this is what they are offering right now w/o the pick. Houston is looking for another team willing to trade a pg because Lakers want Lowry. So basically it's either the Knicks pick,or Lowry for them if they are truly interested in him.

Easy yes for Charlotte.

I think it helps all teams.

Houston is the one in the toughest spot. Taking out Carrol going there and/or the Knicks pick would help.

I think Minnesota gets Kevin Martin too cheap, not even a full expiring and Beasley? They should poney up the Memphis or Utah pick, and help Houston directly or indirectly by sending it to Charlotte after some sort of above modification.

It is a nice basis to a complicated 4 way.

I was contemplating whether to send the Memphis pick to Houston. I think if this deal actually is presented to Houston and they wouldn't want to add the Knicks pick then it's there lost. They wouldn't have to add Lowry,Patterson,Lee,Parsons,Budinger, or Morris.

Every team except Houston says yes. If Houston doesn't give Charlotte New York's pick, I really think every team benefits. I've been interested by T-Will for quite sometime and I wanted Charlotte to trade for him last year. Not exactly thrilled about Blake and MWP, but those draft picks would be great.

Sad what happened to Rubio. I really hope he has a speedy recovery in time for the Olympics.

With or without the extra pick.

Cho playing hard ball he would want an extra pick, but if Higgins was dealing he would take the 2 picks.

Houston is not going to give up the pick and take back a guy with a player option.

I actually think MWP would be better in Charlotte. He might not like being traded since he's been pretty into the LA community though. But CHA is nice and he could do a lot of charity work and feel worthful here too.

If this trade was actually presented to Houston and they bulk at they are stupid. You get the player you want without giving up your rising underrated star. Carroll could easily be bought out. Even if he isn't they would still have a ton of cap space. I think they are 2nd next to Boston for the most cap space. Now if they have another trade for Okafor or Bogut and their team wanted the pick then they should make Minny send it Charlotte.

I'm pretty sure Houstin would do it if they didn't want to be stuck on the mediocrity treadmill.

They get to keep Patterson & Lowry which is a no brainer yes.
