He got suspended for 8 games, and that is totally ok - trying to break the goalie's leg at the corner flag - down by 3-0 after getting royally owned - is about the most cowardly act imaginable in soccer. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

HSV idol Uwe Seeler was "utterly disgusted", but neither Guerrero ("No big deal, the goalie was not injured after all"), coach Frank Arnesen ("This happens every week") or certain HSV fans ("soccer is no girlie sport") seem to follow him. FYI, Guerrero once flung a full water bottle against the head of a HSV supporter and managed not to get fired.

I can't recall who it was but someone referred to Stuttgart's goalie not being injured. He said that had Ulreich been hit on his pivot leg, Ulreich would could have retired on the spot. Ulreich got really lucky.

Guerrero should take anger management classes. Utterly disgusting.

My Mainzer with a comfortable 2-0 lead over Nürnberg at half time.

Bayern just f*** Hoffenheim up with 7-1. Cologne gets a big win vs Hertha, and Wolfsburg beats Leverkusen with 3-2, with Dejagah playing the Messi (lite) role this time.

I hope that Bayern keeps it up until Basel, they will need every bit of momentum to beat the Swiss.

Dortmund with a 0-0 in Augsburg. Never thought that would happen.

With Bayern's 14 goals in 2 games I think it's safe to say they will make a surge for the title. This should be fun. I can't wait for the next few weeks.

Dortmund becomes 1st club to reach the Pokal finals.

BVB outlasts Fürth in a grinding OT battle with 1-0, scoring the sole goal after exactly 119:58 of elapsed time - Gündogan hit the post, and the ball ricocheted off the back of substitute goalie Fejzic (who was just subbed in as the designated penalty killer) and into the goal. One of the luckiest goals in recent Pokal history. :o

Fürth will hate this, but you cannot help but feel sympathy. They were very equal. But then, better lose with a "real" goal than e.g. by an undeserved penalty, and if you see it fairly, they had 2-3 chances to clear the ball directly before Gündogan finished (with plenty of room) from the top of the box.

That has to be the meanest way possible to lose to an normally superior but today equally good team. I mean I don't like Fürth at all and I couldn't help but laugh when I saw the goal but I really felt much sympathy for them after this game.

I wonder if Büskens (Fürth's coach for anyone who doesn't know) will blame himself for subbing in Feijzic. Of course, the substitution made a whole lot sense with regards to a likely penalty shoot out but one can't help but ask if it happened if the regular goalie had been playing in that moment. Particularly if you keep in mind that the substitute goalie is a tad taller than the normal goalie, thus, in theory, reducing the odds of being hit on the shoulder by the ball. It wouldn't change anything but I guess Büskens will think about it.

Sometimes, it is a good thing that penalty shootout exists. I had the feeling hat ter Stegen and Neuer would have kept a clean sheet for the next few days if the ref had not blown the whistle, great game by both goalies.

And after his missed spot kick, Dante will forever by compared to Lothar Matthäus :D

If it wasn't for those 10 wrong offside decisions (against both Munich and Gladbach) at least 4 goals would've been scored.

Honest question: is there is still an absurd possibility that losing Pokal semi finalist Fürth could play Europa League?

- Pokal finalists Bayern and BVB will almost certainly play Champions League
- The other Pokal semi finalist Gladbach is also close to CL qualification
- Let's imagine that Schalke or Hannover win the EL this year

I was at the stadium yesterday and my Mainzer manage to lose 1-3 against Hertha of all teams.

Hopefully, Dortmund draws in Cologne today. That would make the championship race very close.

So, what's worse: being a FDP member, or a FCK fan?

I feel pretty gutted.

Being both. Or being a fan of Hansa Rostock, which once again appeared to have been the better team but didn't take advantage of their chances. Dritte Liga, wir kommen :(

Let's have a beer or nine to drown our sorrows

Let's go to Saarbrücken and drink some Maß with Oliver Luksic, the FDP whipping boy. :D

We would definitely score a higher BAC than any result they scored in elections the past few years.

Dortmund - Stuttgart is an instant modern classic :o

2-0 after 70 minutes
2-3 after 80 minutes
4-3 after 89 minutes
4-4 at the end
