I can't stand that they don't have a legit big on the floor with him. It leaves him on an island underneath the basket to defend bigs and drives and is prone to fouls if he is too aggressive trying to defend it.

Yeah Odom *ahem* Perry has his moments he looks outstanding...as an aside I`m loving Baylors jerseys. As usual Coach Drew is not looking to utilize Miller smfh

finally folks warming up to PJIII

He has clearly separated himself from Quincy M.

PJIII will be a Small Forward at the next level!

To me he looks like he can play the 3. I am enamored with his upside. If he shows aggression like this on a consistent basis (Casey affect?) I think he would make a great pick.
With the 9th pick in the 2012 NBA Draft (Fail) the Toronto Raptors select...Damian Lillard!! (I hope)

Anyone who thinks Perry Jones is anything special in the NBA is setting themselves up for disappointment. Don't get your hopes up.

lol haha i was just tryna be a jerk.

I dislike all the unnecessary PJIII flaming, let him grow and develop. He will be a good player in the NBA, maybe not his first year but eventually. I actually like my sig right now and don't wanna take anything away from it. you can bookmark this thread though :)

It seems Perry Jones is a little too soft, doesn't boxout. His defense is questionable, neither a playing any man defender nor playing help defense (block shot?).

Feel like Anthony Randolph.

PJ3/Bargs/Val is a ginormous frontline but wish I saw a little more Josh Smith-like flashes of defensive athleticism from Jones to give me any hope that there's true defensive upside from such a lineup. Who's to say if Perry Jones would even be a better defensive 3 than Terrence Jones at the next level?

Lets see if PJ3 disappears in 2nd half or not. I can hardly wait!

I agree. I do like the length but it does lack defensive athleticism. Perry is at the bottom of my draft board, and is on and off of it consistently.

He is probably consistently on and off your draft board because he is consistently inconsistent.

If Casey got him to be like he Bargnani and Johnson then it would be tremendous BUT I still don`t expect him to play like a bigger, less coordinated McGrady (like I think he sees himself as or what he could be if he were super aggressive) but maybe more like a consistent Lamar Odom which would be a great player! People dont realize how good he COULD of been because of his conditional heart like PJ.

PJ3s lateral D is going to be really weak against the NBA 3. If PJ3 ends up being a tweener and doesnt play the 3 well, it will be a huge problem for our lineup, how can we play him at 4 when Bargs bosses that position. At least with someone like Beal, he is legit 2, play him at 1 too occasionally. Getting PJ3 not only is a risk that he might be the *disappearing* ninja, but also having to worry about his *tweener* status. If its at the bottom end of the draft, its beal over Pj3 for sure.

The only way I`m considering Perry Jones is if we are in such a bad draft position that our other options are more in the realm of Henson, Leonard, Ross, Wroten, TJones and Rivers. Pretty dreadful to think about.

Davis
Barnes
Drummond
Lamb
Sullinger
MKG
Robinson
Beal

But I could also see Beal or MKG going ahead of those 2 PFs depending on who the team is and how they do at the combine which is why we NEED to be in top 6 imo.

No...he doesnt have the ballhandling or quickness to play the position.

Return to Toronto Raptors
