Game Thread Wiz vs Portland 7PM 3/10 Sat 7PM

Last game of the home stand after a come back win over the LAL. So what will Randy be able to instill from last game with 3 days off to practice ?

I think a lot of us are looking forward to this one to see if anything carries over. We saw some new stuff in that last game.

Will The Beast Booker go on a tear and become a rebounding machine ?
Will McGee be able to remain focused on rebounding ?
Will NY finally played a complete games that with passing, driving and less senseless dribbling ?
Can KS continue to slow down on offense and provide some post scoring ?

Randy seems to be somewhat effective in getting these guys start to understand what roles are and how if everyone plays them, the "Team" plays better. Is the stone starting to crack?

Last game against Portland was a blowout, so you have to believe Randy is in their heads telling them what to do to get a pay back win. Portland will be coming off a back to back after playing Boston on Friday night and will be on game 3 of a 7 game road swing. So far they are 0-1 . They are 5-13 on the road this year.

Edited. 0-2 and 5-14 on the road this year. 5-11 over the last 16 games. With the road games they have coming up, things could get ugly for them.

Crawford will start most likely so it depends on if he break out of his two game slump. Crawford has been getting about 30 minutes a game. Nick a little less but since Nick can get rotated to SF, he can get 30 as well even when Crawford does.

Portland's road record has dropped to 5-14 after four consecutive losses away from home, including the first two games of a season-high seven-game trip.

The Blazers (19-21) fell 104-86 at Boston on Friday in a game that wasn't as close as the score would indicate. They trailed by as many as 43 points, allowed the Celtics to shoot 60.0 percent in the first half and had a season-high 28 turnovers, leading to 30 Boston points.

"That was an unprofessional approach," coach Nate McMillan said. "There was no basketball being played out there tonight. We can play harder than that. We can play better than that."

I have to believe Randy is in the Wizards ear getting them pumped up. This comment above is the kind of stuff usually written about the Wizards. They can be had. I am starting to believe Randy has found a way to reach these guys. Tonight will go a long way toward proving that right or not.

Preparation. The Wizards have all the advantages. Rest. At home after a great win. Playing a team that is on a back and back and not good on the road. If they lay an egg it will erase the LA win. If they win, they can build on that.

excellent quarter by wall. all of his points came off the dribble in the half court and effectively finishing at the rim. sick buzzer beater to end the quarter.
