he could at least help you guys make a push to get into the playoffs. No point in being this close to the playoffs and just giving up. only one and half game from getting in.

I'd give up anything but...Rubio/Ridnour/Lee/Wes/Webster/Love/Beasley/Pekovic/D-will..take your pick.

getting Rudy to play SG and letting Miller start the rest of a contract year might be enough to make a legit playoff push. I think it'd be good to get that first playoff experience out of the way as soon as possible. Even if Rubio can't play, Love and Derrick and crew can get acclimated to the playoff atmosphere so that it won't be so jarring the next time they get there. Especially since our draft seeding is irrelevant, I really hope they (the front office) doesn't mail it in and looks at moves to improve the roster. Andre Miller would be perfect because he doesn't hurt the long term cap and in theory shouldn't cost any long term assets.

Yeah, I think standing pat is a bad idea. Miller is still a starting quality vet PG who would be an upgrade over Ridnour.

I'm not sure Miller is "better" than Luke at all. These two are like polar opposites. Miller is a solid steady PG who can run a team but at the same time, but every year he begs Santa to give him half the shooting ability that Luke has.

Is anybody really saying no to this for the Wolves? If so, why? Is there a contract issue I'm not aware of? Rudy should pair nicely with Ricky next year, and for our team and style, he should easily be an upgrade over Wes. Andre Miller is a solid starter, a top-level backup, and able to play off the ball for stretches pretty well in two-point-guard lineups. He's a step up from Ridnour or Barea IMO, but if it turns out he's not a great fit/not worth it for us, then we just use him as a rental for the end of this season and we clear up a little more cap space for next year. No risk... and we still get Rudy and a 2nd rounder.

Wes Johnson has shown a bit of promise lately though, but I've always wanted Rudy here with Rubio. Andre Miller looks like a nice rental to get this team some play-off experience this year. I'll take it. Not sure Nuggets do though.

Dude, does that trade work in terms of salaries? Because if it worked it'd be one of the best trade scenarios I've seen lately for the Wolves. Seriously, get Miller who can temp fill the PG position for now and Get Fernandez, anyone who watched Rubio and Fernandez in DKV Joventut will know what I'm talking about, I rarely remember players who play well together but I remember the two R in Joventut.
RickyRudy is something you wanna have on your team. Plus Andre Miller. I'm praying for this to happen

I'm a denver fan and I would rather get jj and a draft pick some how for miller, rudy. I don't care if the draft pick came via beasely or from yall. I'm not talking a high pick either just in the 20's first rounder is all, doesn't even have to be this year. I do think it would help us to get rid of dre only so we don't have to play him so much we just need a solid backup.

Rudy and Ricky would never play a minute together. He walks as a restricted free agent, likely back to Spain, which he has been whining about for 2+ years. No way he re-signs here. Kahn has had multiple opportunities to trade for the guy, and it hasn't happened for a very good reason: he doesn't want to be here. He's also injury prone and overrated. People want 2008 olympics Rudy and he is a shell of that player.

Miller isn't an upgrade over ridnour/barea. He also walks at the end of the year. Add Miller and Adelman just moves Luke back to the 2. Luke moving back to his natural position is the lone silver lining to Rubio getting injured.

Wes has been playing a ton better lately, has fixed his shot, and has been an above average defender all year. You don't sell that kind of potential for 24 games of what at best is a very small upgrade. It would be a desperate, really stupid long term move. And with Rubio's injury we have to think long-term. Any trade deadline deals should set us up for the future. Andre freaking Miller in the backcourt with Ridnour is not going to help us hold off Utah, Houston, and Portland. I'd honestly rather see what Malcolm Lee can do with backup mins.
