Nick and Dray for Ray Allan at the trade deadline
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=6pofcp7
I bet Nick would turn it around in Boston. Their system and players should get Nick playing more efficiently. They should resign KG for less and he could go to work on Dray. Exactly the kind of tough love that it would take to get Dray on track. Remember, the kid does have skills. This adds some younger blood to an aging team but the age that is there could really help Nick and Dray, and Allen would really help the Wizards who need his shooting and maturity.
Rondo
Nick
PP
Bass/Dray
KG
The Wizard get the ultimate professional and lights out shooting SG.
Wall/Mack
Allen/Craw/Mason
Singleton/Mo/Lewis - Need a SF who can dribble drive and rebound - Batum type
Booker/Ves
McGee/KS/Ronny - once Ronny is back, we will see who starts.
The Wiz are better in the short term and improve their outside shooting, they clear salary and they are set up better to draft, trade and build moving forward. And they instantly get smarter and more professional. McGee is the remaining bone head but he is the one with the most unique talent and upside. They can then amnesty Lewis or trade his fat contract for something big in return. Wiz would no longer be a young team but a mix of young and older. Slide Ronny into starting center and that is a legit starting line up with 2 athletic bigs backing him up.
Both Nick and Allen are UFA so it is a wash. Hopefully Ray wants to stick around a few more years. He still hasn't slowed down. He has a couple more years in him. He would be perfect for Wall.
Wiz that have everything wide open to rebuild. Cap space. Picks.

Robin Lopez
Nicolas Batum
Ryan Anderson
Wilson Chandler
There is plenty to go after once we have a ton of cap space. This is the buyers market I have been waiting for. This summer is the first best chance to rebuild this team and it can happen quickly.

With ATL having to resign McGee, we almost have to take on Starvin Marvin or some similar bad contract . . . maybe McGee, Blatche, and Lewis for Smith, Marvin Williams, and Pachulia (who is paid pretty highly for a backup). Gives us a lot of our talent tied up in defensive forwards and little elsewhere other than Wall though (and ATL has to be convinced McGee is a potential championship center) . . .
Seraphim/Zaza
Smith/Booker/Vesely
M.Williams/Singleton
Young/Crawford/Mason
Wall/Mack
It does give Wall some athletic running mates; KS would really have to step up the maturity process though and we're basically writing off Vesely as a bust if he slides back to 11th/12th man status (or we are going to use him as a skinny, non-rebounding, can't hold position in the post center and play small ball).

5 days to deadline yeah?
What are the realistic chances a Blatche/McGee trade gets done?
If it happens, I think it will be to GSW and involve Lee, maybe Biedrins. The Bogut proposal doesnt have legs, imo.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

The Nets now have Morrow, Brooks, and Green. All 3 would be an upgrade at the 2 for us. Make something happen Ernie!

I'd do Blatche/McGee for Marvin and Zaza
Making extreme statements like "only" sounds like there are "no" Jokics in this draft? Jokic is an engine that was drafted in the 2nd round. Always a chance to see diamond dropped by sloppy burgular after a theft.

I posted that a couple of weeks ago. You'd have to hope that GS somehow believes that Mark Jackson could coach McGee up better than we have been able to. They did make an offer for D. Jordan, so we know they want a big man.

My latest:
Wiz trade McGee+Vessly+Turiaf for Biedrins+Favors
GSW trade Curry+Biedrins for McGee+Harris+rights to its own pick back from Utah (Utah gets it if it is not in top 6)
Utah trades 2012 GSW 1st+Favors+Harris for Curry+Vessley+Turiaf
GSW saves money in shedding Biedrins, gets McGee to be the shotblocker next to Lee, gets their pick back (likely they won't be top 6), and gets a stopgap in Harris to be their PG.
Utah gets a needed PG to build around Milsapp and Kanter and Jefferson.
Wiz get Favors to be their new big to build around with Wall.

I could go for something like this. Biedrins is ugh, but Favors has a future. He's just stuck behind Millsap who's having an all-star type season.
I also like McGee + whoever for Curry & Biedrins.
And on the topic of Josh Smith & Marvin Williams for McGee + anything else. That trade might actually that might make us a little too good the rest of this season. But it would be a no-brainer IMO.

Who doesn't love curry's game, but at this point you have to be concerned that his career or effectiveness is going to be significantly curtailed by his chronic ankle problems. He can't stay healthy.

Per Warriors board:
"Also, Hornets willing to part with a 1st rounder to shed Emeka Okafoyle...Kwame Brown, your usefulness is peaking"
McGee will be making close to what Emeka makes anyways. To get that Minny pick (10-14 range), would be gold. Here's my idea I floated a while back:
Wiz trade McGee+Blatche+Turiaf for Minny 2012 pick+Emeka+Dorell Wright
NO trade Minny 2012 pick+Emeka+Ariza for Blatche+Turiaf (exp)+Udoh
GSW trade Wright+Udoh for McGee+Ariza

Re: Official Trade Thread XVIII
I really want evan turner on this team. His recent run cements it but more and more since his weak offensive days and massive rebounds coupled with ability to run point i picture him and wall together. If we can get Bogut without using mcgee I'd trade Mcgee for turner. If the FO could come up with both these players plus draft pick we'd be good and balanced

There's rumors that Boston Celtics are interested in Javale Mcgee. If we do make a deal with the Celtics who would you want us to trade for?

I'd be all over that trade. We dump all of the knuckleheads in one season, get a decent 3&D SF on a good contract, and we get a reliable big man who can hit an 18 footer and play some D. And of course, we land a pick in the teens. This draft seems wildly unpredictable to me. There will definitely be some steals late. I'd bet good money that there were be 3 or 4 players picked below 10th that will be better than at least 2 of the top 5 picks.
If EG picks well, he could end up turning McGee and Blatche's bad contract into 3 rotation players. If we land a quality starter with our draft pick, it will be a totally new team next year.
