What a tough day to be a Wolves fan.

Thought the guys would play inspired basketball and kill this Gordonless team. Sigh.

Now that Luke will be needed playing in the PG spot, we need a SG more than ever or someone who really step up. Although Rubio's impact in the game many times doesn't show in stats.....Luke had 14 points tonight with 10-assists, those are pretty much the numbers Ricky would have got (on a good night). No need in getting a Pg, our top priority should continue to be a good wing player.

I only caught most of the 4th quarter via cruddy stream and then watched the minutes Lee played when NBATV reran it (or, for those in the Twin Cities, ran it for the first time).

I thought Lee showed some reasons for encouragement. Namely his quickness and activity level on the defensive end. 2 blocks and a steal in 5 minutes is some nice work, even though the Hornets are less than good.

On offense he didn't do much other than bring the ball up the court and pass it to someone Adelman trusts more. He did get to the rim the one time he ran screen action, missed the shot but it was cleaned up by Williams. Also made an alert basket cut when Love got in trouble. Love chose to throw it to Beasley who cut a half second later. Lee ended up in position to grab the rebound but missed his putback attempt.

It wasn't exactly an auspicious debut, but I hope he gets more run next game.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''
