Game 39: Cavs vs. Rockets | Sun, Mar 11 | 6:00 PM ET

Post#1 » by Rise Against » Sun Mar 11, 2012 5:56 am

A couple of things..

- I am sure that the Rockets will take this one even though we unexpectedly won 2 games in a row. Houston has been very solid this year. Oh and if you haven't seen the Gerald Green alley oop against them today, you should check it out. I think it's the dunk of the year.

- We have about 5 days until the trade deadline. Would anyone be as disappointed as I am if Jamison and Sessions were still on the roster?

- Ricky Rubio is out for the season because of a torn ACL. Horrible news for Minny.. I was kinda rooting for them to get into the playoffs. Good news I guess, is that Kyrie will be the run away winner for the ROY.

Houston is/was one of the most underrated teams in the league (I said as much going into the season, too /brag). Strangely enough they also happen to have one of the most overrated players in the league on the team too.

Also, and no offense to any Houston fans reading this, but they are a great example of the type of team I don't want the Cavs to become. They are a bottom tier playoff team without enough star talent to lead them anywhere worthwhile and at the same time not enough valuable assets who can be used to propel them much further up in the conference. I mean, if you don't want the Cavs to ever win and are satisfied with a bunch of first round losses then fine; but if you want to see a title here then yeah, do not want to turn into the Rockets.

Agreed. That is why HOU has been dying to cash in their chips for the right player.
They have an abundance of good/decent players on great contracts.
Given Dwight's situation, I think that HOU can beat any offer the 3 teams Dwight is willing to sign with.
Supposedly they are the only ones (other than GSW) that are willing to risk renting Dwight for 20games.

Scola is killing it. Not surprised, Jamison is on him.

And does Hollins have worse hands than JJ Hickson or what?

I really thought Hollins would lose the ball on that fast break.

Does Jamison ever pass at all? Oh right, it's his contract year. Hope he gets traded within the next couple of days.

Interesting stat: Gee as the starter averaging 14ppg and shooting 52%

I saw on the WT that we are saying we are not going to buy him out. I am hoping that is just Grant saying to playoff teams "Give us a first because we are not gift wrapping Antwan for you"

I am really trying to support Tristan but he just looks lost out there.

Kyrie should have had that 3 point play. Oh well, bad call. Scola is known for flopping.

We were just up 11 not too long ago, now down by 3 at the half.

And Kyrie got fouled at that play at the end of the first half. Lots of contact there.

Rockets ended the first half on a 22-8 run. They can thank Hollins for his boneheaded plays.
