Looks like it might be an opinion piece?

As for the teams who may be open to trading for Tyrus Thomas, I believe the Celtics (for Jermaine O'Neal and the Clippers' No. 1 pick), Nuggets (for Andre Miller and their No. 1 pick) and Hawks (for Kirk Hinrich and their No. 1 pick) would be the three most likely teams to trade for Thomas.

:o :o :o    Trade checker 6060762 Diaw out to Twolves and Beasley and Randolph in
to Bob Cats . They get "rent a frenchie point forward "until JJ Berea gets back in 2 weeks then move him into Beasleys minutes at the 4. They dump Beasley for an expiring Diaw contract who likes dishing out assists better than scoring points ....His assists keep them in western playoff picture with Ribio now out for season.Diaw knows western conference teams well.
We get a scoring 4 in Beasley to start, backup with White and Ups.
Randolph gives us a 6'10" 3 to backup Mags
And we still have DJ/TT for future trade bait in off season or we trade DJ to another team for a starting center or sign him and draft a center?

I googled "Marc Stein: Sources say Charlotte and Boston are discussing a Jermaine ONeal+2012 First Round Draft pick for Tyrus Thomas" and I get a few hits to forums where people are discussing this rumour but nothing from a website where Stein is actually quoted.

Possibly made up??

But I did one article with this quote: (not Stein, but an ESPN affiliate)

Remember, the Bobcats still have the amnesty clause to work with, and they could shed as much as $8 million by using it on Tyrus Thomas. That would put Charlotte at $42 million in salary responsibilities next year.

http://queencityhoops.com/blog/2012/03/ ... hing-back/

When journalists are writing about amnestying a player as a positive, it gives me a fair idea that the players value is pretty low.

Waive Diaw, amnesty Maggette, draft Davis, and sign Antawn Jamison, Vince Carter, Andre Miller and Gerald Wallace with our cap space and make the playoffs in 2012-13.

I came up with this

This has less than a 25% chance of working because we have a 25% chance of drafting davis. :(

Charlotte trades Boris Diaw/Dj Augustine/Matt Carroll
Gets Metta World Peace/Steve Blake/Brad Miller/Terrance Jones/2012 Dallas 1st/2012 Knicks1st/2013 Lakers 1st

from his trade. That's reasonable considering the salary shedding we'd be helping teams do. Maybe dropping one of the firsts to make things more balanced, but I'd still do it. Also I think Terrence Jones is actually Terrence Williams, who Slam likes a whole lot if I remember right.

How hilarious would it be for Cho to trade Higgins?

We probably won't have to because all the proposed options tend to have us putting out more players than we take in.

Damn thats a shame.

I also believe the only way to get rid of Tyrus is to throw him in a blockbuster trade to even salaries or something.

Get rid of his rotting corpse.

Here's a new rumor from David Aldrige. DJA for Jamal Crawford. Poor DJ, back with Ray again.

Initially, I like this deal but then I saw Crawford has a player's option next year. Most likely will opt-out and doesn't help us in the long-term.

Seems like a strange deal, but I suspect it would give us that ever-coveted swing guard who could help at the 1 or 2, while opening up pt for Kemba. Agree with previous poster that Crawford's player option for next season makes this nothing more than a giveaway during a throwaway season. Think Cho just wants to help out his old gang? Still, not sure why we would do this when we already have Reggie Williams?

Maybe there really is no market out there for Tyrus with DJ.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.
