I don't like daylight savings. I want to go back to bed.

Meanwhile, Orlando is gonna be a tough game after the heartbreaker yesterday. It could be a massacre, unless this team builds on top of what it did yesterday.

I'm a little nervous. Hoping we're not too deflated after last night's heartbreaker.

Cool. Quick foul in Howard. Get him frustrated and/or in foul trouble.

I don't know what feed everybody is watching (I guess by everybody, I mean you, M4E since it's just you and me on the board so far) but the Magic commentators just ripped Dahntay for yapping at Lou due to the 5-second call. Basically saying that he doesn't have tons of credibility for mistakes considering the turnover and subsequent And-1 from last night.

It's games like these where I hate the 3-point shot.

The bench unit is terrible. We might have the worst bench sans George Hill

At least we got an obligatory Stan Van Gundy freak-out.

Nice way to end the half!

Did Indy2ThaWindy get a job commentating for the FOX Sports Magic feed? They've beat up Collison a few times throughout the half!

Just kiddin', Indy! We love ya.

No.

Above-average centers are a rare breed and Roy is that. A few sub-par games doesn't change that at all. Nobody was saying that when he had his 30-point double-double a couple weeks ago. It's just a mini-slump, nothing more right now. By all accounts, he's a hard worker, a good teammate, a fan favorite, and well above-average for a center in a league that is very shallow across that position league-wide.

The whole team is flat tonight, not just him.

No need to hit the panic button.

He'll get a nice contract, no doubt. Above-average centers get those, even if the contract is handed out due to a small sample size. Cases in point - Kendrick Perkins, Tyson Chandler, Joakim Noah, Marc Gasol, DeAndre Jordan, and Andris Biedrins (yikes).

Roy will get a nice contract because having an above-average center is such a nice luxury every team wishes they could have. There are a ton of All-Star quality point guards and power forwards, and a LOT of good small forwards and shooting guards. The center position is easily the shallowest league-wide and Dwight Howard is the only one who one could logically call elite, with guys like Andrew Bynum, Joakim Noah, and Al Horford in the notch below. Roy, who is only in his 4th year ( of which were under Jim O'Brien...brulsh) and by all accounts a hard worker, will continue to work on his game and improve and I feel is in that second notch. Even in the college ranks, there aren't many stud centers outside of Fab Melo and Anthony Davis. Is it really worth giving up Roy and then some to move up that high to get one of them? Not in my opinion.

Roy wants to stay here and Larry has been very smart with money in his reign as GM. And Roy is still a very good player, despite a couple rough games since the All-Star break. A brief slump isn't anything to get worried about yet.

Very flat today, second unit is a bit of a struggle.
Very disheartening after yesterdays heartbreaker.

We went from having one of the most productive second units at the start of the season to a pretty poor one now. We need Hill back asap.

re: Roy, I think the last few games are just a slump. He will bounce back and be his productive self around 14pts and 9 rebounds.
He'll get money when he is off contract, but I am sure he'll remain a pacer. As others said, good centers are scarce and for this they get paid a premium.
I also would put Roy in the 2nd tier with Noah, Lopez, Bynum etc.. (Howard being the top tier).

I want to re-visit this topic when he's out of his slump. Which I am more than confident will happen before long.

While yes, this losing streak is frustrating, especially considering the loss last night in Miami, what shouldn't be overlooked in Paul George? He's blossoming into an amazing two-way player. He's a future star who is unselfish...which at time can be head-scratching but I'd rather him be passive and then grow into being comfortable in takeover mode as opposed to being selfish now and having to shake that off (a la Carmelo Anthony.)

Nonetheless, he's had at least 2 steals in 9 of the last 12 games. Throw on a tad more muscle and he could be our Josh Smith - capable of defending positions 2-4.

Unbiased people with nothing invested into him or the Pacers realize he's a bad player. If called games. I would always say. "This guys sucks!" "Nice D (sarcasm)" "Coach, Get this bum outta there"

I'd be like the Anti-Tommy Heinsion.
