Hawks @ Kings

Post#1 » by pillwenney » Sun Mar 11, 2012 10:12 pm

Might as well start this now.

I'll be there again. Beating the Mavs was nice, but that was a worn down old team. This team has young vets. This'll be a real test for us. But if Cuz is all the way back, I think we can win if we play like we're capable of playing. We can't rely on turnovers, or running a bunch of old guys out of the building. We'll just have to play well, play unselfishly and execute.

So let's do this.

I thought it was a steal taking ATL +1, your post has me rethinking that notion.

Atlanta is 11-11 (which this season is actually a very good road record) on the road, the Kings are 10-6 at home. Its a winnable game but probably the hardest in the next five games on this homestand.

Tyreke--you're open at the 3 because they're leaving you open there. 22.9% from behind the arc should mean something bro.

Ref's explanation:

"Cousins' left arm fouled Dampier. It was impeding his space."

Same here....I have screwed myself out of three bets that I thought were no brainers in the past three days.

Lakers over TWolves
Bucks over Raptors
and Portland over Washington

This would be the 4th.

Wow. Not a single damn is being given by Evans and Greene. 0/5 from the three point line from guys who are 22% and 25% from behind the arc. Why do they insist on shooting these shots? The audience might not be phased because it's not like Shaq is out there shooting threes, but, it really is like Shaq shooting threes out there. These guys have probably set the record for lowest 3 point percentage for the amount of attempts they have per game. If I was coaching against the Kings I'd give Evans and Greene the three all day because they're too stubborn or boneheaded to realize they can't make them.

I think the season is starting to get to him though.

He's putting like 20% of the hustle and drive into getting rebounds as he used to before the All-Star break.

Aslong as he knows his body and is pacing himself i'm fine with that though.. and what I love is he's not looking for his own - he always boxs out and if his guy is a great rebounder he won't even face the basket and just handle him so someone else will grab it.

Same to why I love how he doesn't give a fck about his %s, if he has the ball with 1 second left he'll try get some points on the board even if it's from the end of the court, and if it makes people say "OH LOOK AT HIS FG OH NO".

Same for his move where he's putting the ball up just so he can get the rebound himself in an easier situation and put it in.. like 1 play where we get 2 points will make him be 1-3 sometimes instead of 1-1.

This is terrible. I HATE our rotations. Our starters just played the ENTIRE 3rd Q and a little into the 4th. Now they're finally going out with 9 minutes to go and won't be put back in until there's 2-3 minutes to go and forced to win the game.

Smart losing this game with horrible rotation management. Why must he insist on playing starters for 14-15 straight minutes letting them get gassed?

He's been doing this for the past month and it's terrible, just terrible. Now Evans is going to have to play the entire 2nd half.
