Re: ACL... Rubio Out 6-9 months
I like the photo!. This guy is strong and 6-9 months go very fast! Even 12 months is not that much. Considering his age, the only important thing is to ensure a 100% recovery. He´ll be back soon. The olimpics... he should not think about that, watching them on TV while drinking beer is also a good plan (that´s mine at least). He´ll have more olimpic games in the future (and he´s already played an olimpic´s final against USA at the age of 18!! -not many can say that!).
Sure, It´s a real pity because this will be last Pau´s/Calderon´s/Navarros´s Olimpics and we´ll probably never be so close to get real chances of defeating USA, but health goes first. We´ll still be covered in that position with Calderon and Llull. Our problems are at SF... I honestly think we hadn´t many chances against this USA team even with or without Ricky.
Now, come on wolves! time to build arond the remainig players and stop loosing stupid matches against teams like NOH.

The surgery will take place in 3 weeks approx, once the liquid in the knee has gone. Apparently he can start rehab before going to surgery.

Seems like a long wait to actually perform the surgery.

Here's hoping Ricky completely retools his shooting mechanics while he's out. I'm sure some NBA legend would like to work with him.
I broke my left hand in High School and for 3-months all I did was practice proper shooting form. Came back a much better shooter even though I really changed my form.

Kahn says the surgery could be in a week or two but it should be sometime in March.

Re: ACL... Rubio Out 6-9 months
braahhsss I got your salvation right here
New England Patriots receiver Wes Welker told reporters Thursday that it could take a full year before he’s 100 percent back to the player he was before tearing his ACL last January.
“I don’t know if I can really put a number on it,” when asked where he feels healthwise. “It takes a full year until I’m me again, is what they say,” he said. “I’m just trying to take it a day at a time and do what I can with what I got right now.”
Welker’s incredible comeback story was capped off by catching eight passes for 64 yards and two touchdowns in a Patriot victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 1. Welker led the NFL in receptions last season with 123 catches, despite missing two games due to injury. Welker spoke about the importance of being able to get through his first regular season game last weekend.
Wes Welker is similar to Ricky rubio, relying on quickness and change of speed, making quick cuts, he dominated last nfl season, i think ricky will be okay if he attacks the rehab hard.

Except Kobe did nothing wrong. It happened before the collision.

Losing Rubio hurts.

if there's a mental hurdle coming back in basketball from a major injury like this, i can't begin to imagine what it's like in football getting hit and all.
