Height and age. Personally I'd look at what they actually accomplished, but scouts think differently.

considering Kurt Thomas lead the country in scoring and rebounding, accomplishments aren't everything. he ended up being a career role player

When I see Nicholson's measureables (height, reach, etc.) I might be open to revisiting my opinion.
But for now, I think it's closer than you want to admit

what? where was there even a comparison made between kurt thomas and andrew nicholson. what are you babbling about? someone asked what makes nicholson a worse prospect than a guy like udoh. i answered him. then seemingly in response to my answer you went off talking about kurt thomas being from the accomplished side of the debate, rather than the measurements. i simply said how there are a tonne of better examples for your argument. like the many accomplished ncaa players that didnt have 17 years in the nba and over 1000 games. how you think i dont want to admit that nicholson could be compared to kurt thomas is beyond me.

On the question on upside I think Nickelson is a better player than Ed Davis is right now.
Both would be seniors if Ed had stayed and Ed got in the NBA on potential not his play at NCAA level.
I like Ed but really has he shown anything that would make you think he could be a top twentn PF in this league or more like A. Johnson very good back-up. I see the latter think at worst Nichelson would be a very good back up and possibly a top 20 PF.

I made the comparison based on a player with really good college stats in a lesser league not projecting to be more than an average to slightly above average player in the league. Nicholson might be more than Kurt Thomas or not even approach his level of play. The fact is, Udoh is nothing like Nicholson, so I went for a better comp. Not a big deal.
I think you went off the deep end...

First of all, Kurt Thomas was an above average pro in his prime. Secondly, Nicholson has a tremendous motor and the kind of scoring touch out to the three point line that many bigs never develop. He hit two three pointers yesterday and was 10-10 from the free throw line. He's not a lottery pick, but he sure looks like a nice pickup for a good team in the 15-30 range.

Thank you for taking the traitor off the list for Stanford. You do such great work that I was not going to say anything.

Let me know if I screwed anything else up.

Found the link I wanted. http://blogs.canada.com/2012/03/12/five ... h-madness/

Completely agree- lots of insiders have started calling him 1st round pick. This tournament is huge for Joseph- he seems like a late late first round pick or early 2nd. Sacre also looks to be drafted in mid to late 2nd round

Devoe Joseph was ridiculous last night: 25/6 on great shooting. If Oregon makes it to the NIT ff he may play himself into a late first round pick.

Even if he doesn't get selected in the draft, he catch on a team during the summer league.

6'4 is great size for a pg. Are you gonna do a recap of all if the post season tourneys, i.e. NCAA, NIT, CBI and CIT?
