He told us during knicks game that the medical check up was in couple of weeks. Unless they brought it forward because he was going to be potentially traded and he's been given the all clear to practice.

I think this is most likely as far as "breaking news" goes related to that quote. Otherwise he just saved 15% on his car insurance.
