YBR said we'll have to change the system, and we're losing valuable players but Dwight will stay. That must mean Jameer, JJ and Ryno are all included.

We'd have to get a four coming back if Ryno is going to Hornets. Maybe deal brings back Monta, Landry and Ariza? Hoping outgoing is Hedo.

pretty much, we'll be losing some valuable players, and will have to change the system, but it'll keep Dwight in Orlando

My guess, Ryan is gone, no more stretch 4.

We still have Justin Harper. lol

Edit: For the future that is... No way he can step in right now.

If this is true (not getting hopes up at all) I will sorely miss JJ. Favorite player on the Magic.

Trade for Johnson,Williams and Zaza sending Turk, JJ, Davis and Orton.
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=763uxme

Jameer Nelson - Chris Duhon
Jason Richardson - Joe Johnson (QRichardson)
Joe Johnson - Marvin Williams (QRichardson)
Ryan Anderson - Marvin Williams (Earl Clark)
Dwight Howard - Zaza Pachulia

If we decide to trade Dwight, send him to LA (along with Baby) for Andrew Bynum a 1st round pick and the Lamar Odom TPE straight up.
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=764blhg

Then if you want to improve more, send a 1st and 2nd round draft pick to Cleveland for Ramon Sessions.

Jameer Nelson 5'11 199 - Ramon Sessions 6'3" 190
Jason Richardson 6'6" 215 - Joe Johnson 6'8" 230 (QRichardson)
Joe Johnson 6'8" 230 - Marvin Williams 6'9" 240 (QRichardson)
Ryan Anderson 6'10" 240 - Marvin Williams 6'9" 240 (Earl Clark)
Andrew Bynum 7'0" 295 - Zaza Pachulia 6'11" 265

That team is better then what we have with or without Dwight Howard. Much better defensively (and offensively) and multi-faceted.
A smart coach once said, "Potential just means you're not good enough yet." Playing on potential is like living on air: It's essential, but if thats all you have, you're eventually going to starve.

If we keep Anderson OR JJ, this deal will be AMAZING. Even if we give up JJ AND Anderson, if Ellis keeps us Dwight, I'M ALL FOR IT BABY!

Good stuff. I've always been envious of those bench side seats! Anyway, while I don't share your personal reaction to this (we need to pamper the hell out of Dwight imo), I do enjoy the insight. I can totally see Otis thinking he is bigger than Dwight and that the "tail shouldn't wag the dog". Hey, maybe because he actually said that! LMAO at Otis, his stock has just hit Enron levels for me.

i'm not saying he shouldn't get it, he is a star of the highest proportions, but if those are the type of things that cause you to put your franchise and your city in this situation, it's just classless. as has been clear, this isn't about winning

You're right that it's not about winning, but let's look at this from Dwight's perspective. He sees other stars like Kobe, Lebron, D-Wade, CP3, Deron, etc. get private jets and trainers; they get what they want... and he sees himself and his worth (he is an Elite player), and he just wants the same. Is it bad of Dwight (who is making max money and huge endorsements) to request the same treatment his friends/peers receive? I don't think so.

Is it a bit "diva" to ask for those things; well imo YEAH, IT IS. But I'm not a star celebrity-athlete, nor am I rich; so who am I to judge? But is it out of the norm for a star player in the league to do those things? No. Many stars have asked for things and used their stroke to get what they want. I don't see how that pertains to his character though. In my honest opinion, Dwight's just another run-of-the-mill star athlete... our society accepts and expects him to be that way (sadly)... but it doesn't make him a bad character and teammate. Blame the media/entertainment and societal-economic constructs for making/glorifying/enabling this type of celebrity lifestyle behavior to even be possible in the world of professional sports. It's been around for years and in all leagues (Magic Johnson/Lakers, Lebron/Cleveland, Romo/Cowboys, etc). Star players want and get star treatment. It's nothing new. I'm not flabbergasted or surprised that Dwight asked for things. And it's not like Dwight asked for the moon and stars either; they are things that are reasonably for any star athlete to request.

I'm not saying I agree with what Dwight wants, and how he's using his star status to get things... but I'm also not surprised by it, nor do I think that reflects Dwight's overall character and basketball character in a negative manner. If that were the case, then all star athletes in all professional sports have poor character.

+1 :D Beautifully stated.
