Our second Unit would be horrible though ..

Sam Amick ‏ @sam_amick
I repeat: Don't expect Dwight Howard-obsessed Warriors owner Joe Lacob to help Orlando keep Dwight Howard in any way. That is all.

I completely agree... he has gotten semi snubbed in GS.. he can be a valuable backup.. overpaid? yes.

Why cant we send out JRich instead of JJ I mean really JJ and Anderson? I am not the biggest Monta fan and if Dwight still leaves which is possible this team is screwed

Bill Ingram ‏ @TheRocketGuy
HIGHLY unlikely Monta lands in Orlando to help them keep Dwight.

I have no clue how this framework would actually get filled in with value, but I could see GST really like a Curry|Redick back court and NOH really liking a piece like Anderson. Also, you have to consider that by trading for Hedo they are actually trading for guaranteed lottery bound seasons for the duration of his contract. We all know how valuable lottery picks are, Hedo's value is through the roof.

i see. imo if hedo is involved, i think he is going to gsw. Mostly because i do not think a trade that helps us to keep dwight will be fair on other ends. the trading partners will exploit that value.

We will be a fast paced team again.. defense is going to suffer. But I say pull the trigger. Hedo's contract gone, a guy who can create his own shot, DWright is a solid player, and Dwight has no excuses if he leaves.

One thing to keep in mind, we can't afford to take two weeks to adjust to a trade like we did last year.. will be interesting to see how this plays out. I'm sure Stan is pulling what hair he has left out.

+1

Defense might not suffer that much - if we get a guy who can genuinely backup Dwight in the deal (no matter how overpaid Okafor or Biedrins are), then Dwight might regain some of the defensive aggression he's been lacking this season, which I still feel is at least partially out of fear of foul trouble and our lack of big man depth.

Biedrins hadn't even scored since pouring in two points on Feb. 22, a span of seven games and 52 minutes. That's nothing compared to his stretch in Jan-Feb, when he scored a total of five points over eight games and 153 minutes

Our second Unit would be horrible though ..

Clark & Liggins would probably pickup back up 3 minutes. I think that Jameer should move to the bench as a 6th man and becomes the focus of the offense on the second unit. The question becomes... what's the 4th quarter game-finishing lineup? It'd probably be the 5 you list as the starters.

Ellis | Jameer Duhon | Ish
JRich | Wafer | Liggins
Wright | Liggins/Clark (depending on matchup)
Davis | Clark | Harper
Howard | BIedrins

With the game-finishing lineup looking like this
Jameer
Ellis
Wright/JRich
Davis
Howard

I still feel like Davis has room for improvement, and I see Ellis running high pNr with Dwight in the 4th quarter a-la Hedo

Been thinking .. Bobcats/Blazers have been talking about a Crawford/Augustin swap

If we could do this rumored Ellis trade, and flip Jameer for SJax

Ellis/Duhon/Ish
JRich/Wafer/Liggins
Wright/Jackson
Davis/Clark/Harper
Dwight/Biedrins

Return to Orlando Magic
