NBA Trade Rumors – Andrew Bogut to Toronto Raptors?
March 12, 2012 05:15 PM EDT
The countdown is on as the NBA trade deadline is this week and several players could find a new home in the next 72 hours.

The latest player placed on the trading block is Andrew Bogut from the Milwaukee Bucks and it's a move that makes little sense, but the team is looking to add some different players and that could be good news for whatever team is willing to take a gamble on the 7-footer.

Toronto is another team that could use some changes and making a deal for Bogut is a good start. Tyler Ward from Bleacher Report suggests that the Raptors package together Andrea Bargnani and Leandro Barbosa and send them to Milwaukee for the Australian center.

This deal makes sense and it works for both teams as the Raptors get one of the better big men in the league to start shaping their roster and the Bucks get two serviceable players that can add depth to their squad.

With so many NBA trade rumors flying around social media it seems highly unlikely that many of these deals will actually go down, but a deal between these two teams makes too much sense for them not to at least have discussions. Both teams are in need of change and acquiring players that can help with those changes can only lead to a positive outcome down the road.

I don't mind the idea of the team, but the deal is awful. I'd wonder if TOR would look to next year and do some type of Jennings/Bogut/Gooden for Calderon/Barboa/Davis/ 2 first round picks(this year unprotected?)
Pair Bogut with bargs and Jennings and derozan.

They came for the Bogut, but they'll stay for the Twirly

Thats why smurf and all the Gadz fans stayed, there is no better team forum.

Monta Ellis will be a nice looking Buck.

A few GSW scenarios that work in the checker:

1. Ellis + Biedrins + Thompson for Bogut + Gooden

2. Curry + Lee + Wright for Bogut + Udrih

3. Curry + Biedrins + Kwame for Bogut + Dunleavy + Udrih

I've always liked a Toronto deal sending Bogut and Ersan there for Davis/2012 1st.

Not a fan of the GSW stuff if it involves win now pieces.

Its ok for Aussie fans to follow Bogut where ever he goes. They are not from Wisconsin. If that does happens i would miss them , since they are very entertaining. :D

its true. how many games did the bucks lose in the last minute this year? they almost swept the heat. beat the knicks both times. split with the sixers. the magic and hawks are beatable. the bulls are the only team that scares me. if they had a center rose wouldn't be able to drive right down the lane everytime.

Trade talk unsettling for Jennings
By Charles F. Gardner of the Journal Sentinel March 12, 2012 6:08 p.m.

EMAIL PRINT |(0) COMMENTS
Newark, N.J. - Bucks guard Brandon Jennings was sitting in front of his locker less than an hour before Monday night's game against the Nets, and he was working two cell phones.

Jennings was trying to keep up on the latest trade talk, including rumors which surfaced Monday that he could be included in a deal before Thursday's 2 p.m. Central time deadline.

SI.com reported a league source saying that Jennings might be made available "for the right price."

Jennings said he was taking a nap Monday afternoon at the team hotel in New York City when his phone started buzzing constantly.

"My phone was full with messages and everything," the 22-year-old Jennings said. "Now we're in the hunt to make the playoffs; we're one game out and we've been playing so well since the all-star break.

"Now that I hear my name being mentioned in possible shopping around and stuff like that, my mind is just all over the place right now."

A few weeks ago Jennings told ESPN's Chris Broussard that he was doing his homework on big-market teams for the future, but the guard also said at the time he was content in Milwaukee. And Jennings repeated that in the locker room before the Bucks played New Jersey.

"But with a trade, there's nothing you can possibly do about it," Jennings said. "You won't hear from the front office. Of course they wouldn't tell you.

"The main thing is I'm still able to do what I love and that's play basketball, at the end of the day. I have no negative thing about it; but my mind is just wandering now.

"This is where I started my career. It can kind of shake up the team, the fact that we've been rolling."

Jennings is averaging 18.7 points, 5.6 assists and 3.4 rebounds and is the only Bucks player to appear in every game this season. He is averaging 23.5 points and 7.2 assists in six games this month.

^^^^^ Ruh Roh Scooby. Another MJS bat signal up. This time for Jennings.

Lord I would love the idea of trading Jennings for the Raptors pick and getting Curry and Lee and another first. Pipe dream that all that would come together though.

Maybe he won't suck for the next few games and we can get something for him. Or he'll play the same way he always has and chalk it up to being frustrated.

Just because a team goes down to the wire with a certain team, it doesn't mean they can beat them consistently. That's where most of the game comes down to is the final minutes. We don't have a closer which makes us unable to beat most of the top teams.

I'll keep repeating it but if Jennings gets traded I'd say the chances are high it'll be to Toronto. That has always been the most logical team that would show interest in him.

I also could see Lee being part of a Bogut trade. Hammond has long been a fan and it would help the Bucks set an NBA record for having the most PFs on one roster.

^^ the question Europa is could Lee and Ersan play together? If the Bucks did take on Lee, it means you need to trade Ersan IMO.

GSW pursuit of Bogut not w/out obstacles. MIL wants Stephen Jackson added to any deal. Would Dubs bring him back, @timkawakami? #rhetorical

Curry + Lee + Kwame (expiring) for Bogut + SJax works ...

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
