David Lee and Ersan are basically already playing together right now.

A lot of people would love to see Bargs/Bogut coexist and I feel the same way about Ersan/Lee. I think they would do well together actually.

Trade talk unsettling for Jennings
By Charles F. Gardner of the Journal Sentinel March 12, 2012 6:08 p.m.

EMAIL PRINT |(0) COMMENTS
Newark, N.J. - Bucks guard Brandon Jennings was sitting in front of his locker less than an hour before Monday night's game against the Nets, and he was working two cell phones.

Jennings was trying to keep up on the latest trade talk, including rumors which surfaced Monday that he could be included in a deal before Thursday's 2 p.m. Central time deadline.

SI.com reported a league source saying that Jennings might be made available "for the right price."

Jennings said he was taking a nap Monday afternoon at the team hotel in New York City when his phone started buzzing constantly.

"My phone was full with messages and everything," the 22-year-old Jennings said. "Now we're in the hunt to make the playoffs; we're one game out and we've been playing so well since the all-star break.

"Now that I hear my name being mentioned in possible shopping around and stuff like that, my mind is just all over the place right now."

A few weeks ago Jennings told ESPN's Chris Broussard that he was doing his homework on big-market teams for the future, but the guard also said at the time he was content in Milwaukee. And Jennings repeated that in the locker room before the Bucks played New Jersey.

"But with a trade, there's nothing you can possibly do about it," Jennings said. "You won't hear from the front office. Of course they wouldn't tell you.

"The main thing is I'm still able to do what I love and that's play basketball, at the end of the day. I have no negative thing about it; but my mind is just wandering now.

"This is where I started my career. It can kind of shake up the team, the fact that we've been rolling."

Jennings is averaging 18.7 points, 5.6 assists and 3.4 rebounds and is the only Bucks player to appear in every game this season. He is averaging 23.5 points and 7.2 assists in six games this month.

I'm sure Brandon is as "unsettled" as the Bucks were several weeks ago when he wanted to do his homework on all the big market teams. It's nice the Bucks get to show him who really holds all the cards. Sit down son.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

Thought BP said that Jackson wasn't contingent on any trade.

Gone off getting Curry.

Not necessarily. I think Moute is the one who may be on the way out, especially if the Bucks make the commitment to keep Ilyasova long-term. Lee could also play center as he did for the Knicks. Granted, he sucked at it defensively but if Skiles can't get enough of Gooden at C I don't see why he'd be reluctant to go with Lee there.

Pay attention to Stein's wording too - he said the Warriors are focusing on a "workable" deal. That strikes me as meaning they've made an offer which the Bucks either rejected or haven't accepted yet (the latter fits with BuckPack's report that an offer is on the table). Perhaps the counter offer is something along the lines of Curry/Thompson/Lee for Bogut/Delfino.

If the Bucks are trying to force The Ultimate Teammate on the Warriors then things could get dicey.
Nothing will not break me.

Yeah, I skimmed over that post and thought "oh, good move for the Raptors" assuming it was to pair him with Bargs.

Well Jennings couldn't play much worse and waht he his playing at the moment. Honestly. Jennings grow a pair. Your play crap, you sulk, you quit on your team why shouldn't the Bucks look to trading you.

via Rotoworld:

The Warriors are preparing to make a play for injured Andrew Bogut (ankle), sources tell the Contra Costa Times.

Bogut could be out for the rest of the regular season, but the Warriors apparently see him in their long-term plans. They could put together a package that includes Ekpe Udoh, Dorell Wright, Andris Biedrins and Kwame Brown's expiring contract. The problem is that the Warriors would have to take back Stephen Jackson's ugly contract. There may be more smoke than fire here.

Does anyone else feel like if we are getting Curry and Lee for Bogut that we are getting away with highway robbery? I think that would be an amazing trade.

Jennings is putting up like 24-7 in the last 6 games. Kind of an odd time to be saying he is horrible.

He isn't good, but...

Why so much hate on Jennings on this board? I never understood it. If you don't think he's very good, then fine. When this team is playing like **** and nobody seems to care, Jennings is usually one of the only ones playing with heart. He has never been a headcase and he actually gives the Bucks some spotlight every once in a while. I really think the hate on Jennings is unfair.

If they can somehow net a pick from a Bogut deal, one for Jennings and our own, it would be awesome.

And it's a win win because I can decide to maybe start to root for the playoffs because we're still rebuilding and the picks we'd be getting would most likely be higher than ours anyways.

I know Paul was calling Udoh, "Larry Sanders 2.0". I think Udoh is better. I'd be ok if he got tossed in a deal.

But it still brings up the fact the Bucks have trade or contract issues with their four focal point players, Bogut, Jennings, Ersan and Capt. Jack.

I say move them all! Let RealGM sort out the aftermath!

I feel this also, a nearing 28 year old center who can't even stay on the floor.

In return we get one of the best young players in the game (injury concerns, i suppose) who could be a perennial all star down the road?

ok!

It might be true, Hammond has always been good at fixing his mistakes.

Remember that David Lee is owed for 4 more years after this one for a total of $56 million. And he's 29 years old. I love Lee. But to me that contract and his age mean he has neutral to almost negative value.

I think Lee next to Bogut would be outstanding. But Lee on his own, I'm less excited about.

At least Lee is producing. Who knows if that will be the case 3 or 4 years from now but we'd be getting two players that might both be better than Bogut.

We really don't need cap room. It would be very nice to bring in a good player like Lee.
