It's actually very similar. It's Toronto parting with youth in some form for youth at PG.

The team situation is different compared to then. No Bosh, no requirement to hustle to the playoffs.
That is also why the situation is not the same as New Orleans trading their pick for Bayless, before that comes up.

I agree that Toronto might not have any interest in Jennings. I'm just pointing out that BC needs to win next year to save his job, otherwise you guys are going to start to riot. BC may think Jennings and Jonas help him do that versus some rookie picked 6th-8th.

GM's make moves every day that posters on these boards disagree with or where posters have spent months assuring people they won't happen. Heck, I ran a trade contest here three weeks ago, where I made the rule that you couldn't come up with crazy Bogut trades, since a Bogut trade likely wouldn't happen due to Bogut's injury. And now Bogut may only be here another 48-hours.

I agree the team situation for Toronto is different. However, it's still an almost identical type of trade. Given that, it's not out of the question to believe Colangelo would consider doing it again. All comes down to what he thinks about Jennings.

You never know what a GM will do, but how can any of you see Raptors trading their first round pick for Brandon? Aren't they in top five territory? Maybe they would do it if it was in the early teens...maybe...but c'mon...Top 5 pick for Brandon? Not realistic at all.

go f yourself smart guy this is what you said..."By my count, it's now 27 games (in two different stretches) of good play, and 15 games of EXTREMELY poor play, which is not excused, obviously" ...what the hell does that entail? You basically said nothing like usual, speak in generalites you leave it open for interpretation, and I don't give you alot of cradit for anything deeper than that.

Depends on what else we throw in. We are watching Brandon take over the game tonight. He's not a hard sell for a front office to acquire.

I speak in generalities? LOL. I'll respond with more when I actually read something from you that warrants it.

If it were to happen, it wouldn't happen now. After the lottery or draft night would be the time to discuss it.

PP, I know . Fans aren't really as demanding now though. I think fans around the league have come around on the idea of tanking and rebuilding. I wouldn't be surprised to see him make a stupid win-now move, but moving the pick for Jennings would be low on the list of moves he would make, I think.

Biedrins is still only 25. Could return to double-double form.

I honestly would rather have Jennings than Curry. He is a year younger and doesn't have injury issues.
All posts are my own opinion.

I would have to see what else we throw in to see if that makes the difference. And yeah, Brandon is playing great tonight but then two nights from now he will be shooting 4-15 with 4 assists. He is inconsistent. Everyone knows this. If the lottery pick Toronto had was around #13, yeah maybe Toronto takes that chance and hope he pans out but not this year when they are one of the 5 worst teams.

I agree with this. If the lotto takes place and you guys end up with pick 7 or something like that, now we are talking a more balanced deal.

Right now that pick could be much higher, and I can see the Raptors wanting to let the lotto standings play out.

You can have both for a bit and see if they can coexist too.
