+1 it's sad!

again, ever since he made those comments about being underpaid and how he's going to be upset if he's an All Star the following season with that contract, its been downhill ever since

I need to start watching the game with JJ glasses. Bizarro Blatche sounds like an All-Star.

0 rebounds in almost 9 minutes. Well done, 7-Layer. Well done.

TWENTY SIX POINTS IN THE PAINT IN ONE QUARTER. I think the 50 year old assistant coaches who provide jogging, token resistance in practice drills play the pick and roll better than that.

Blatche has been pretty good so far. Other than that, a compete joke all the way around. John Wall should stop giving interviews about how tough it is to play with such awful teammates. Tony Parker is taking his manhood so far tonight.

I don't know what Blatche you're watching but he's being abused in the paint on defense and so far is 0/3 shooting the ball with a +/- of -16 (ie: worst on the team).

Abused in the paint? They've been running pick and rolls which requires multiple people to play it correctly. Blatche has been in a help position on most made baskets because the weak side help never comes.

63-49. Wow. Guys are just giving up on defense. Not going after loose balls. I don't expect a win against a much better, smarter, more experienced team. But at least give some f-ing effort on defense.

Yes. Obviously I called him an allstar. That's clearly not a ridiculous strawman.

Hard to get rebounds when the other team is mostly in a layup drill.

Honestly I believe people wouldn't assume the wizards had defense issues, if the other teams they play couldn't score like the wizards. The wizards have little offense and other teams exploit that.

0 rebounds, 0 field goals, 0 blocks, 0 steals and 2 fouls. Not to mention letting Splitter get wide open underneath to go 4-4 from the field.

Of course that doesn't apply to John Wall, whose exclusively responsible for containing Parker.

Odd part is that Blatche managed to post a -11 in 8 minutes whereas Wall is +1 in 18.

0 rebounds, 0 assists, 0 steals, 0 blocks, 2 PFs and 3 points.

Bizarro Blatche is the only guy that showed up tonight.

Not every play was a P&R and on those, he was abused. Cuts to the basket by Blair, Splitter, etc. No problem with Blatche manning the middle.

And to excuse him for P&R defense is, well, inexcusable. Has the team played poor team defense? Absolutely, we always do. But so has Blatche -- not sure if there is a person watching this game who would disagree with that assessment.

Look at the Knicks vs Bulls game.

They have similar numbers right now. Doesn't mean their defense is bad.

Problem is that the wizards, unlike other teams, simply can't score well.

Exaggeration for emphasis doesn't always mean a strawman argument.

The Spurs putting-on a team basketball clinic for the Wizards. This game will provide excellent learning material for the team.

When you give up 40+ points in the paint your defense IS bad, it has nothing to do with struggles on offense.

Washington is shooting a respectable 44% from the field and is 5-8 from 3 point range. Most nights 49 points at halftime should have you in the lead or trailing by a few points. The Wizards gave up 63 points in the first half allowing the Spurs to shoot over 60%.

Still trying to figure out how the Knicks/Bulls compare..

I can't get over how infuriating this offense is to watch. Wittman MUST GO. Wall is never going to reach his full potential in this offense. This offense is meant for a half-court team with jumpshooters, but our roster is the exact opposite, consiting of all athletes with minimal shooting. All they do is run around on the perimeter trying to get open jumpers, while they sould be setting more high PNRs and screens for Wall at the top. Wall would get to the lane at will like that. It's a shame our offensive system is so ****.

In pretty close to ever pnr the Spurs ran, Blatche was the "show" on Tony Parker. Blacthe was the only defender on the Wiz that made Parker go to 2nd and 3rd looks. He was not abused at all.
