Part 1: Houston sends Chris Wilcox($854,389) to Minnesota for "future considerations". Works since he's a min.

Part 2:
Minnesota sends: Jan Vesely($3,202,920) x 1.5 = $4,803,480

Houston sends: Luc Richard Mbah a Moute($4,794,192)

Minnesota accepts. I like the Prince's elite defense, his lack of scoring shouldn't be a problem with Rose/Love doing most of the heavy lifting.

Houston and Chicago have a deal.

Part 1:

Willie Green ($854,389) for 2013 Laker 1st
(works he is min salary player)

Part 2:
Lowry ($5,750,000) for Jennings (3,179,493) Wilcox ($854,389) and 2013 Cha 1st (works as 4,033,882 total x1.5 is 6,050,823 > 5,750,000)

Houston accepts. He get a 'the lights are out' shooter in Jennings, and had to move Lowry ever since Ric Bucher started tweeting that he was going to Miami for 2 late 2nds. As an aside the 1st for Willie Green seems fair.

Chicago accepts. We'd rather have a guy with Vitiligo, than a guy with a heart condition.

Houston in / Toronto out:

Jeff Withey – $473,604
Jose Calderon – $10,561,982
Rights to Meyers Leonard (#14 pick)
2013 Houston 1st (unprotected)
2013 Sacrmaento 1st (top-13 protected)
Total salaries - $11,035,586

Toronto in / Houston out:

Anderson Varejao – $8,368,182
Chase Budinger – $885,120
Goran Dragic – $3,000,000
Total salaries - $12,253,302

Toronto accepts. Give up a lot of young talent but get some guys who can help now, and I particularly like giving Valanciunas time to develop behind Varejao.

Houston accepts. We had a side bet going with a fellow gm that we couldn't make at least 3 trades moving at least 6 players without Philadelphia making a trade in between them, and we are proud to report we won that bet.

As for the players involved, Budinger lost the dunk contest. He was dead to me. Losing Varejao to move him hurts, but getting a 7 footer from Florida named after a citrus fruit is the sort of thing you really can't say no to.
Image
Also within the last 1/2 hour we now have 4 (new) draft picks for when the game ends. I'm going to sit around and pick that 7 foot Brazillian who was too immature to be drafted in '11 with at least one of them.

PHI and TOR have a trade to announce.

PHI outgoing:
Marcus Thornton $7,525,000
Stephen Curry $3,958,742
total: $11,483,742

TOR outgoing:
James Harden $5,820,417
Mario Chalmers $4,000,000
total: $9,820,417

Harden is deadly pick and roll player that many argue is the 2nd best player on OKC. He is a complete player that can shoot the 3 at a high percentage, get to the line and most of all pass the ball. He is an excellent playmaker that compliment Rubio and Cousins. TOR becomes a complete team that should be dangerous in the future. Great dealing.

Trade #286

Utah Sends John Salmons
1yr $854,389

Charlotte Sends Bill Walker
1yr $854,389

Not a blockbuster trade but I like Walkers outside shooting

Salmons is actually a good player just not deserving of his previous contract.
Dammit...:

I've got Nurkic fever now.

PHI and CLE have a trade to announce.

PHI outgoing:
Andrei Kirilenko $5,500,000
DeMarcus Cousins $3,880,800
total: $9,380,800

CLE outgoing:
Ryan Anderson $7,500,000
Harrison Barnes $4,602,720
total: $12,102,720

Barnes projects to be a very good player. He will be a Deng like man defender from day 1 in our estimation, and he is a good 3 point shooter. He could be a Deng/Granger (2009 Granger that is) like player that can be the go to scorer we need. We felt that with all the playmaking in our backcourt we needed to boost our scoring at the F spots. Anderson does that as well. He can spread the floor and feast on all the open looks he will be seeing. Rubio/Harden/Barnes/Anderson are all young, and compliment each other nicely. Good dealing.

Cavs accept. We like the nasty front court of Cousins and Drummond and we feel that vet experience of AK47 and the emerging Alonzo Gee can replace Barnes quite nicely.

Transaction(s) 288

New Jersey sends Tyler Hansbrough (3,055,259) to Utah for TPE ($3.402,000 TPE from trade 137)
separate deal
Utah sends Brandan Wright (947,407) to New Jersey for TPE ($2.205M TPE trade 266)

New Jersey likes the superior defensive game - length Wright brings and get some salary relief. We think Brandan can get his mojo back out of Golden State - who as Hollinger stated: "Wright became another victim in the Warriors' lengthy history of eating their young". Great dealing Supply'n

Utah is happy to welcome Psyco T into the orginization. He will fit in perfectly into our new system

Houston and Philly have made a trade.

In it Houston trades Jennings (3,179,493) Pierce (16,790,345) and Meyers Leonard ($1,823,280) for Harrison Barnes (4,602,720) Okafor (13,790,000) and Biedrins (9,000,000)

Trade is set up as 2 parts:
Jennings for Barnes
{works as (3,179,493 * 1.5 = 4769239.5 > 4,602,720}

Pierce and Leonard for Okafor and Biedrins
{works as $18,613,625 + 5m = 23,613,625 > 22,790,000}

Houston does this, although Houston isn't sure that the value isn't horrendous.
