Who you got as the better player in these pairings right now?
Davis Vs Drummond - Davis. Not a big fan of Drummond.
MKG Vs Barnes - MKG. This one's a toss up. I think I have slightly converted to a MKG over Barnes guy. I have watched more of MKG than Barnes and he really does work hard. I just find it difficult in seeing him become a superstar. Barnes, in that regard, has an edge.
Sullinger Vs Robinson - Robinson. Really like Sullinger, but like T Rob better. He might not have all the post moves of Sullinger but T Rob does work in the post. He also can step out and hit the mid range. Sullinger just seems to be stuck between two positions.
PJIII Vs Henson - Haven't seen enough of either to comment. But for the Bobcats I would lean towards PJIII
Beal Vs Lamb - Beal. I just see him being able to do more than Lamb. Good shooter, good passer, good rebounder, and adequate defense.
Miller Vs T.Jones - Haven't seen enough of Quincy but don't really like Jones's game.
Zeller Vs Leonard - Haven't seen enough of either to comment.
Young Vs Ezeli - Young. Both really aren't that polished in the post but Young has improved his jump hook shot.
Rivers Vs D.Lamb - Lamb. This one I am not too sure about but don't know where Rivers stands position wise. Does better with the ball in his hands, but he isn't a distributor.
EDIT Just realized that was D.Lamb. I was wondering why you had Lamb on twice, I just misread it. I like Lamb better for our team but Rivers could turn out to be a better pro.

Davis Vs Drummond - I haven't seen a big dominate on defense like Davis since Duncan.
MKG Vs Barnes - Shooting fills a niche better than a jack of all trades athlete
Sullinger Vs Robinson - Rob is rawer but his athleticism and bigger size bodes well
PJIII Vs Henson - potential to be a star, Henson has the potential to be Tyrus Thomas
Beal Vs J.Lamb - pulls down boards, doesn't force the issue like Lamb
Miller Vs T.Jones - Could end up a journeyman but I'm not sure Miller plugs into that many teams
Zeller Vs Leonard - Seriously could be the 2nd or 3rd best big in this draft, huge potential.
Young Vs Ezeli - NBA body and has a good motor, decent athleticism. Ezeli is rawer.
Rivers Vs D.Lamb - His dad. No but seriously, Rivers is more impressive physically, just needs to shoot more consistently.
(a) for the future/NBA career and (b) for our own personal team needs.

Davis Vs Drummond (pretty obvious me thinks!!) I agree
MKG Vs Barnes
Sullinger Vs Robinson Based on the little I've seen from either, what are the chances Robinson develops into a SF in the NBA?
PJIII Vs Henson
Beal Vs J.Lamb Quickly becoming one of my favorite prospects.
Miller Vs T.Jones Don't care for Jones...I think he's the better player right now, but I like Miller's potential.
Zeller Vs Leonard
Young Vs Ezeli Really hope it wouldn't come to this...
Rivers Vs D.Lamb

Davis(This is too easy)
MKG(Better Ballhandler, better defender, can score after two dribbles unlike Barnes)
Robinson(Both are undersized...Sullinger reminds me entirely too much of McMay the more I see him)
PJII(Henson only does on thing well....PJ3 can do much more when he wants to)
T.Jones(More of his game translates over to the NBA, plus there's no injury history)
Zeller(Leonard reminds me way too much of Mully)
Rivers(If Rivers went to Kentucky he's the 2nd overall pick....easily...., plus I think he's more well rounded than Lamb)

South Ro32:
Kentucky
UConn
(would be an awesome game to watch. Depending on which Drummond shows up for this one, I could see UConn pulling this upset thanks to the size Drummond and Oriakhi have. They are a really good matchup across the board for UK)
Wichita St
Indiana
(Wichita St. is a really good under the radar team. They'll be a really tough out for an IU team just now learning how to be good again)
UNLV
Baylor
(really fun potential matchup as well. The Moser/Perry Jones battle will be super interesting. Jones could do a lot to move his name back up the draft boards with a strong performance)
Xavier
Duke
(Xavier is the trendy low seed in the South. They get a good matchup with Notre Dame and I can really see them giving Duke fits with their quickness. Watch out for them to pull the upset as well)
South Sweet 16:
UConn
Indiana
(Should also be a fun one to watch. The upper half of the South region is going to make or break some brackets because there are so many ways to go. UConn has just a bit too much experience for the IU team and gets back to the Elite 8)
Baylor
Xavier
(Baylor has too much size for Xavier across the board. Holloway and Lyons will make it interesting, but Baylor pulls it out)
South Elite 8:
UConn
Baylor
(Yet another difficult game to predict. Will be fun watching the Drummond/Perry Jones dynamic. Whichever one of these guys decides to show up will move his team to the Final 4. Baylor makes it out in a slugfest of a game behind a strong night from Quincy Miller)

Re: 2011/12 NCAA Prospect & Game Thread V 2.0
West Ro32:
Michigan St
St Louis
(This is the weakest region across the board. Michigan St gets a super feisty Majerus bunch that can defend as well as the rest of them. Michigan St probably has a bit too much size to lose, but it'll be closer than people think)
Long Beach St
Louisville
(LB State is another trendy mid-major. They've played most of the top teams, and played them well, so they should be prepared for this. Casper Ware is one of the best little known players out there and they pull off the upset on an overrated Louisville team)
Murray St
Marquette
(Murray St is yet another tough mid-major. They've been ranked in the top 10 for a long time now, having only lost one game all year. I'm looking for Canaan to have a Steph Curry like run with this team and really open some eyes out there)
Florida
Missouri
(Florida has the size to take advantage of an overachieving Missouri team. If the Florida Chuckers (Boynton and Walker) can keep it in check, they should be able to take this one)
West Sweet 16:
Michigan St
Long Beach St
(Upset! LBSU and Casper Ware are too dynamic for another overachieving MSU team.)
Murray St
Florida
(Murray State takes this one behind Canaan's 28 point outing. Too quick, too strong, too good for Florida)
West Elite 8
Long Beach St
Murray St
(Two teams you wouldn't have known about before this year take the spot of Butler and VCU from last year. Mid-majors with electric guards go toe-to-toe in what would be a high scoring affair. Canaan and the Racers are simply too much for LBSU)

Re: 2011/12 NCAA Prospect & Game Thread V 2.0
East Ro32
Syracuse
Kansas St
(Syracuse is too long for KSt. Shouldn't be that close)
Vandy
Montana
(Montana knocked Weber St and Damian Lillard out of the dance, so that should tell you how dangerous they can be. Too bad Vandy is so hot right now with Ezeli finally getting back to full strength. Will be a fun game to watch though)
Cincy
Florida St
(Just like Vanderbilt, FSU is too hot right now to lose to an overrated Cincinnati club. Too strong defensively and Snaer is playing great)
West Virginia
Ohio State
(Sullinger/Kevin Jones will be a fun game to watch. Both guys are "softer", less athletic players but really produce at a high level. Craft and Buford push the edge in OSU's favor)
East Sweet 16:
Syracuse
Vandy
(Vanderbilt is just the type of team that can beat Syracuse. The zone is weak to outside shooters and Jenkins/Taylor will have a field day dropping bombs from deep)
Florida State
Ohio State
(FSU is too hot and too good defensively for OSU to overcome. They have ample size to matchup with Sullinger and enough scoring options to take this one)
East Elite 8:
Vandy
Florida St
(What a matchup. Both teams are hot hot hot off championship runs through their respective conferences. Vandy has a high octane offense and FSU has a high octane defense. Whichever team can impose their will and pace will come out ahead. I think Vandy is just a bit too talented for FSU here)
Syracuse

Re: 2011/12 NCAA Prospect & Game Thread V 2.0
Midwest Ro32:
UNC
Creighton
(this region is UNC's to lose. Barnes and McDermott will be a fun matchup to watch as they were teammates in high school. One could argue that despite Barnes' hype, Doug has been the better player. UNC is too strong for Creighton though)
California
Ohio
(You may know the Ohio Bobcats from when they upset Greg Monroe's Georgetown squad a few years back. I have them upsetting Michigan in the second round but coming up just a bit short to Cal on this one)
NC State
Georgetown
(Leslie is starting to come into his own and NC State is peaking at the right time. Unfortunately, GU is hungry after failing to play up to expectations in recent years. Henry Sims and a strong defense pull this one out)
St Marys
Kansas
(Robinson/Withey/Taylor are too much for a tough Gaels squad to beat)
Midwest Sweet 16:
UNC
California
(Cal is easily overmatched in this one. As long as the Tar Heels play strong, they should win comfortably)
Georgetown
Kansas
(will be a fun game to watch. Sims and Robinson are different types of players and whichever one has the better game will come out victorious. I see Kansas having too much talent to lose this one)
Midwest Elite 8:
UNC
Kansas
(this could be a really dangerous game for UNC. The last time these two teams met was 08 when a soft UNC team came in and got their doors blown off by Kansas on route to a NC. Yet again, these two teams meet with UNC having questions about their toughness. If they can get pushed around by a physical Kansas team like FSU did then watch out. But I am too much of a homer to see them lose)

Final Four:
Baylor
Murray State
(The magical run stops here for Murray St. Baylor has too much size and length and comes out with the win in what should be a fun game to watch)
UNC
Vandy
(Vandy plays a lot like Duke. Guards that spread the floor, bigs that do the dirty work. If Jenkins and Taylor can stay hot, then they have a chance to take it. But if not, UNC showed what they can do to a team like this. McAdoo and Hairston have been getting increased minutes and are ready to perform. UNC takes this one in a highhh scoring affair)
National Championship:
Baylor
UNC
(Barnes vs. Miller. Henson/Zeller vs. Jones/Acy. Salivating yet? Much unlike last year's NC game, this one will be full of offensive highlights. Carolina's depth is too much for Baylor to handle despite Miller showing out against Barnes. The Tar Heels come out victorious in a thriller of a game that we talk about for years. UNC Wins it 85-80)

Carolina couldn't even dominate the ACC. How are they going to win it all ? This national title is Kentucky's to loose, and I don't think they will.

Re: 2011/12 NCAA Prospect & Game Thread V 2.0
Syracuse sophomore center Fab Melo has been ruled ineligible for the NCAA tournament, another shot in a season full of them for the Orange.
The university announced Tuesday that the 7-foot Brazilian did not travel with the team to Pittsburgh and won't take part in the NCAA tournament due to an eligibility issue. The school did not elaborate.
Melo missed three games earlier this season because of an academic issue.
ESPN, citing an anonymous source, reported that Melo's absence is related to the first suspension and that the NCAA revisited the case and again ruled him ineligible.
It's a big blow for coach Jim Boeheim and his Orange, the top seed in the East, who expected Melo to be a key player in any postseason run. Syracuse (31-2) opens the tournament against 16th-seeded UNC Asheville (24-9), the Big South champion, on Thursday afternoon.
