Bargs is owed $10, $11 and $12 million after this year.

You're going to have to pay Ersan at least $30 million IMO to have a chance to keep him.

I think the money ends up being similar.

What do you gain for this year by trading him now, rather than the offseason, unless you're getting serious contributors, including a defensive interior presence? Udoh seems to have some potential, but he's not that guy, this year anyway.

Bottom line from all this is that the organization still doesn't have a clue what they're doing nor do they plan long term at all IMO. They're dedicated to making the playoffs each year and hoping for a semi-decent winning team (5th-8th) with whatever pieces they acquire. If they luck into a piece or combination that gets them a higher ceiling (top 4 in East), they'll take it and then extend those pieces (to our own detriment) in hopes that the success will continue. Forget moving Bogut and Jennings if you're just going to try a new combo. Rebuild.

My ideal week would be moving Jennings, Bogut and whatever fodder is needed. Getting back Curry, Thompson, a first, and fodder. Shut down Curry for the year, let his ankle heal and let the tank roll.

Bargnani is just as much of a puss as CV. He's a coaster. Ersan might not be as skilled, but the guy plays all out and always has. Give me that kind of effort and passion all day long over "Il Mago".

Woelfel gets a lot of stuff that he's not allowed to divulge specifics on. The agents or teams want info to get out in the media that they are working on something but usually never want their full hand of cards to be shown in public.

Woelful is a reporter, not a Bucks employee. I understand why BuckPack can't divulge specifics because it will get back that his source has leaked and could cost them their livelihood, but when people talk to Gery they know they are talking to a reporter. Every reporter gets some off the record talk where they can't divulge specifics, but nowhere near this much. It's insane to believe that a paid reporter is given mountains of innuendo to divulge without EVER giving any specific details, that's their job ffs.

I believe maybe 5% of what Gery puts out there is accurate. Maybe.

Doesn't mean I don't enjoy hearing it and I've probably been a bit hard on him due to past failings, but he's jerking us around with most of this stuff, surely everyone can see that.

But you never know in these instances. Bad teams outbid themselves to make sure they don't lose a guy.

Of course we do, but that doesn't make it any less stupid. If they want to just swap out Bogut/Jennings for Monta/Bargs, Monta/Gasol, Curry/Bargs, Monta/Gasol, or Curry/Gasol what the hell is the point in that? Spin in circles, going nowhere. It's been mentioned numerous times already, but we have Ersan on the roster and he's shown to be a more complete player than Bargnani. It's smart business by NBA Standards to do the opposite of whatever the Bucks intend on doing. Wish they'd prove us wrong at some point and do something smart for a change. I'd be excited about a Curry/Jennings backcourt as mentioned many pages ago, the added element of dealing Jennings in a win now shuffle does nothing.
