Person involved in the talks says Rockets have now backed away from Bogut discussions to pursue another deal. Stay tuned.

That's pretty good... maybe throw a draft pick Milwaukee's way if that package is a little weak for them. I know I said in my previous post that GS might not want J-Rich back... but in your deal you net them Bogut, so that instantly makes the deal seem attractive to them. I like it.

Orl's 1st would go to Milwaukee to fill them up, while GS might get a 2nd rounder there also. We keep Ryno:

PG. Ellis/Nelson/Duhon/Ish
SG. Q-Rich/Ellis/Wafer/Liggins
SF. Jackson/Q-Rich/Clark/Liggins
PF. Anderson/Davis/Clark/Harper
C. Howard/Biedrins

Seeing Q-Rich in the starting lineup makes me cringe a bit, but this team would be pretty badass come off season with the possibility of using the MLE on a legit SG if Eliis sticks at the point.

Best trade proposed so far... We shed Beans contract and the main trade becomes Bogut for Ellis...

As many Warrior fans would love this trade, the only reason I personally wouldn't is because Bogut's injury history. If he gets in a Warrior's uniform and cannot continually remain healthy, this trade would look horrible. If he stays healthy, it's a great trade. Very risky and I personally would like to see what we can do in the off season instead of trading away Ellis for a center that has an injury history. But on paper it's a good trade and one the Warriors front office might consider heavily if these teams are smart enough to actually come up with it. Good work to the OP...

Are you all thinking this is about to go down? Seems like a flurry of info for such a late time of day. I thought Otis went to bed at 10PM.

I'd do it for defensive purposes, but we could start Nelson and Ellis with Jackson, or any combination

Well we could move Q to the bench and start Wafer at SG  ... just simple shuffling and it's all good.

They want a big, so we look to Kaman and Bogut in a 3-team deal... GS shuts us down... saying all they want is Dwight. It's been irritating to say the least.

Orlando and New Orleans are ready to deal... and GS is just standing in the corner with their arms crossed and shoulders shrugged.

They aren't getting Dwight...idk why they are even dreaming that scenario.[/quote]

They could be trying to keep your attention away from other trades so when it falls apart they become the only option when Dwight gets mad the team was not improved. Or they need Anderson in the deal. Biedrins dump not good enough

Would a trade go down this late? I know GS is a few hours behind us Orlando-ers but is it worth staying up a bit for?

With the Bogut deal falling through

Let's refer back to this:
http://www.hoopsworld.com/warriors-purs ... e-deadline
The Warriors have discussed a three-team deal with the Orlando Magic and New Orleans Hornets, which would send Monta Ellis to Orlando and Chris Kaman to Golden State. Other players would be included and, rather than forcing the Warriors to take on players like Milwaukee, the Magic would be willing to take on some of Golden State’s bad contracts. At this point, it seems that the three-team deal is a back-up plan for the Warriors, one they would consider if their talks with Milwaukee break down.

Come on Golden State.. bring it on home! Let's do some business!

It's only 10 out here on the west coast. There are teams still playing basketball at the moment. I guess it's possible.

I'm sure it could, and no its probably not worth staying up just to be let down again.

Return to Orlando Magic
