Some of the video is about the early stages in his career. Maybe the Raptors TV special on JV next week is just a translated version of this one. That would be hilarious. :D

Yeah, it about earlier stages of the career, U16, U18, U19, first match in Lietuvos Rytas, episodes from National team. But they are randomly put in this video, not a nice film tho..;)
about what was being said about him.. Teamates, coaches, fans and famous people talked about Jonas and basically what they said was that he was really good prospect but he had to work on his body, his techniques and etc.
Ive seen all those episodes at least once before tho..:)

Jonas needs a good passing PG, no Sh** right...
However, i think we all noticed he is currently playing alongside one of the most horrendous passing points of all time in Rice, and hes doing pretty well. He improved a lot, scores in ISO situations more than from pick and rolls, and has a deadly first step, can create his own shot.
So, like pretty much every big in the world, he needs good passing point guard, but hes no longer that guy who can't create for himself.

Sure thing. He improved sharply last 6 months. Kinda struggling a little bit with Rytas' anti-basketball at the start of the season (tiredness of summer also here probably), but now he puts a nice numbers with the same anti-basketball Džikič's style. However, he'll face NBA fives and fours and that's not the same as Eurocup and VTB even if those leagues are really respectable and more competitive than average NBA fan would probably think. One could say he already proved he can play against NBA bigs this summer and now he's even better, but the big part of his success was Šarūnas Jasikevičius. Sure he improved his individual game, but the thing is that he needs real PG to be as good as he can. In my eyes are still two different players. The one that flying for alley -ups playing with Šaras and the other that trying to overpower two times bigger dudes than he is in Rytas  JV constantly improving his body as well, but I barely see him not having any problems in terms of that in the fist season of NBA. And with that said I would prefer seeing him playing with smart PG instead of trying to brake the walls in NBA. It's very good he's learning how to score in different ways, but it's safe to say that pick and rolls is the most polished spot in his game and in the first season in NBA where I still believe he will struggle a little bit physically against biggest and strongest NBA players, it's very important to have PG who is able to send him the ball to the right place at the right moment.

He is amazing off ball player and yes, he lacks upper body strength. It's like saying the sky is blue, we all know that, thats no secret. Course he needs real PG to be as good as he can, who doesn't? It doesn't even worth discussion. If there is a solid pnr PG, thats just great, but if not, Jonas is not a trick pony anymore, he will contribute in other areas.

To keep Jose just to help Jonas is bogus, No dice, Jose really needs to go, as been said, draft night trade maybe, that sounds good.

Actually, Calderone is as good as gone.. we better amnesty him if he ends the season with us... and our main target should be Nash, or make a push for Rondo or Jennings..
otoh, Big V must bulk up, we dont want Bargs to guard the other team C...

If our starting frontcourt next year is Bargs & JV I'd much rather have Bargs defending the 5 with JV providing the help. Bargs is an above average man defender in the post and does a decent job 1on1 against the most physical big men.

I'm not sure that Jose would be amnestied he is a much better PG than most would acknowledge and I'm not a Jose fan. If things were right with the rest of the team like getting a second pick and getting a prospect like Kabongo then Nash is ideal.

Much will depend on where we land in the draft and if others like Ed Davis are traded.

I think Jose would be very capable in JVs 1st year.

Shhhh......I didn't.

Much like I didn't get permission from Rytas.tv for the game highlights.

(p.s. I assume you won't but I'd kindly like you to refrain from informing youtube. It's an amateur video that I'm not profiting from in anyway and if it gets Hi-Fly more views and CD purchases then I don't see the harm).

Hopefully, Big V impacts in the games like we want and expect in his first season... the last thing i'd want to read is Mufasa saying "I told you so..."

Raptors fans do not care about chemistry and taking figures as they are only individuals. I've noticed that. And that point - "trade Calderon and get someone strong (I don't really care who), Val will be fine" is the perfect example. Other options also speak about the lack of understanding of chemistry. Most of Raptors guards are bad passers, lacking BB IQ - such as DD, Bayless even Barbosa (though he's a little bit different). You won't make strong playoffs team or NBA title contender with that attitude. Look what kind of IQ and passing culture showed Boston, Spurs, Lakers. They know what it needs for THE TEAM. Raptors should learn to look up for "Manu" type of players instead of "DD" and to understand that it could be better to have better passer with hight IQ instead of flashy player that only playing for the stats. Seems like Raptors will have to go very long way till they get that culture of BB. On other hand, even Val is great passer for a big guy. Val could be a good start of building new attitude and culture. I would keep Calderon as a veteran and as possible backup PG, two years later if not next. And Raptors should really look for high IQ shooting guards who not only scores but can handle the culture I was taking about. The good player not only scores, but doing right thing at the right moment that is best for his team and that's exactly what Raptors lacking. So instead looking only to the flashiness, Raptors should look up for the intelligence.

Just opinion, no disrespect.
