In all seriousness, I'd like to hear someone convince me that Franchise wouldn't be a better backup PG than Duhon.

Where is Steve these days?

I heard on espn radio they were saying Orlando promises to get D12 a star player before the deadline and if he's willing to opt in next season he can decide whether to keep SVG and Otis.

Please tell me that's not right.

Listen I don't like Otis and agree with all of you he's not good.

But for that publicly to get out that's embarrassing (IF TRUE)

SVG is a great coach and even if our GM is bad we shouldn't have a star player have that much power. We shouldn't have to bend over to appease him to this extent. The Magic look so desperate.

Is that report true ?

It's a rumor... so who knows for sure. But there's a separate thread about it, too.

No one has denied it, yet....But I'm sure it's exaggerated.

I think Otis is gone, one way or another. If you notice, he's been extremely quiet, lately, and I think that's because right now, he's just a placeholder. When the season is done, I expect him to be gone.

It came from Bucher so of course it's not true. Dude loves to throw **** up just to stay relevant.

Even Dwight knows that this team is going no where without Stan. There are NO coaches better available. Stan is a top 5 coach in this league. Sometimes, you have to take the bad with the good just like we do with Dwight and his faults.

Do you fire Stan (Otis is no brainer) if it meant keeping Dwight? If so, who do you replace Stan with?

Sometimes, I bet some of these media outlets (Espn etc) get kick backs to write rumors from sources from boosters of opposing teams just to create discord amongst the teams with players they want.

Yes, like Dwight thought that BBD is one of the best PFs in the league

If you guys think that Otis is gone from the Magic Organization after this season then you need to take your head out of the sand.

The Magic organization is a big family like environment. Sure, he may no longer be the GM of our team but he will still be part of the FO one way or another.

I would assume we could take it easy today... no trades happening with the game tonight... We are going to get blown away tonight

Looks like the Nets want Diaw and his 9 mil expiring contract.

That's the question. There is NO ONE better (available, anyway).
He and Stan seem to have a good relationship, though I guess it's hard to tell.

Also, I agree with the poster who said that if the rumor is true, then SVG should quit. How can you coach someone when you know they have the power to fire you? It would be a complete slap in the face, and I would be sad to lose him, but he doesn't deserve this.

I highly doubt it's true, though. We aren't that type of organization.

Fire Otis not Stan. Dwight needs to wise up if he's trying to get rid of SVG, unless we get a proven coach.

There are no anomalies here; Stephen Jackson is old, doesn't have much left in the tank, is owed $10 mil next season (when he'll be 35). And, he SUCKS. Why you guys are infatuated with him (regardless of what Dwight says) is beyond me.

Nobody is "infatuated" with him....it's simply basically a Hedo-SJax swap, and I think a lot of people have no problem doing that if it helps keep Dwight. Hedo hasn't had a "major injury" but don't you think that back spasms, elbow issues, etc etc (all the little minor things he keeps dealing with) probably affect him a bit? Just look at the end of last year compared to the beginning of this year. He was way more productive at the beginning of this year when he was completely healthy than at the end of last year when he was dealing with minor issues. Rashard had KNEE SURGERY. What are you talking about, acting like he is perfectly healthy.

shard was healthy at the beginning of the season. Look at his production in the games he played this season versus other years. /discussion.
