OT: Beasley needs to change his free throws

Post#1 » by lazfa199 » Tue Mar 13, 2012 6:07 pm

This season he's been kind of struggling at the line and I think part of it has to do with how he shoots his free throws. He starts off by standing on his toes instead of planting his feet and lifting up so he' on his toes when he releases. I think it throws off his balance.

agree? disagree?

Agree. Although it may feel more natural for him to shoot this way, its creates more inconsistency in the shot because its balance will change from time to time.

Yeah, but that's something you have to fix in the off season. Can't change it mid-season without the needed time for repetition.

It's just strange considering he's always shot the this way, and was a good free throw shooter in Miami. 80% one season, used to take a lot of the tech free throws for Miami.
