Why is no one talking about what is really going on here?

Its obvious this isnt being leaked by the Magic organization. It kills them. This has to be leaked by Dwights side.

The reason Dwight leaked it is he wants the trade to the Nets to make more money. Hes made his value as low as possible as to not rob the team as bad as possible, but dont think for a min hes not trying to get all he can.

This has Dwight written ALL OVER IT.

To me.. out of every trade machine I have seen... this one seems to make the most sense to me. Sure, it's a downgrade from the C position but I have watched us play when Dwight is doing nothing productive at all and we can still win big.

Otis Smith wants to trade Dwight Howard, but ownership isn't ready. "Otis has two days to persuade ownership to trade Dwight," said source.

GET R DONE OTIS!

IN OTIS I TRUST

Ltting Otis handle a franchise-defining trade like this is like asking Lindsay Lohan to hold your drugs for you

At least with Lindsay holding your drugs, there's a good chance you might get laid. With Otis, no such luck.

They won't give up Melo..

Does anyone know the details on a potential Hawks + 76ers trade?

I approve of this 100% Carmelo would sell out the Amway Center in a heartbeat.

Knicks might do it. Not sure but wouldn't shock me.

They'd be:

Dwight
Amar'e
Hedo
Shumpert / Fields
Lin

Not winning any titles but could be interesting. Plus it would mean the Nets open up Brooklyn with Jordan Farmar and Shawne Williams as their poster boys ... niiiiice :D

Trading Dwight and Hedo while taking on more and longer term salary is the exact wrong thing to do. If Dwight is gone we have to rebuild, not try to band-aid the Titanic.

I'd do that, although I don't know if we have the leverage to throw Hedo in anymore. I think any team that talks to us now about a trade for Dwight knows how desperate we're getting.

Then we keep him, makes some minor moves and contend this season.

Panic and trade Dwight for craps will not make this team better in the long run. **** it, if teams don't want to give fair value for him, then screw them. We won't ever get respect if we trade him for a crappy deal like Ellis and Lee like some suggested.

If Dwight leaves, we'll be rebuilding for a few years, taking back mediocre players will only prolong the process.

melo is a top 12 player, regardless of his form lately.

lin and dwight could work really well together. dwight could increase amare's impact.

and knicks are the real new york.

unless Dwight does what cp3 did and opt in a year the Lakers wouldn't trade Bynum for him. Too risky

You forgot about Rutgers, St. John's, the Islanders, and the Devils. Seriously, the Nets are at the absolute bottom of the rung in the New York metro area. The Fordham Rams may have more fans at their home games.

A trade will be done, with keeping a spot in the playoffs in mind. NBA, is a business first of all. Why the nets package will be turned down, a decent team and playoffs equal money and fans coming through those gates.
