Merged the two trade threads. They were starting to dupliacte each other.

Let's keep all the trade deadline talk central in one spot.

P.S. Where's hotrod with all the twitter updates?

One thing I just noticed about the Rockets 1st round pick that the Nets own and we might recieve in the Diaw trade is that:

Rockets receive the Knicks' 2012 first-round pick (top 5 protected in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015, if not conveyed by 2015 then the Rockets will receive the Knicks 2015 and 2016 second-round picks

So if the Rockets miss the playoffs this year and the next three, the 1st round pick becomes two 2nd round picks?

The Rockets roster aint looknig that hot so that 1st round pick might become two 2nd's very easily.

Right now they are the 8th seed, a 1/2 game in the playoffs but only a game out of 6th, and 2 games out of 5th. It could go either way, they could barely make the playoffs and we wind up winning the deal with around the 17th pick in a perceived deep draft or it could go the other way and we wind up with a 2nd rounder in a few years. I just wonder if that is a risk that Cho can take?

If the two teams behind them werent the imploding Blazers and the Rubio-less Wolves, I'd share those same concerns...

Slam, I believe that's a different pick. That's the Knicks pick that the Rockets own, but the Rockets pick that the Nets own is lottery protected for a few years and then becomes ONE second rounder in 2017.

Personally, I think it's worth the risk. If they don't make the playoffs this year there's still four more years for them to slide in.

2023: 1-16; BOS (GH)
2024: 1-14; BOS (GH)
2025: 1-14; CHA (31-55)
*Becomes two 2nds if unconveyed

Reports say that in a Bogut trade they would be getting a very good PG back which in turn would lead to them trading Jennings. You would have to assume Jackson is most likely a part of one of those trades. Only PG I can really think is Lowry from Houston, but that would leave Houston without a PG. If that's the case, we could jump in with DJ. PURELY SPECULATION!!! Should be interesting next couple days! Gotta love the trade deadline.

Magic Dragic has been playing well for them with Lowry out.

I'd like to get Toney Douglas, I think he's still a good player that drastically needs a change of scenery.

Crazy stuff going on in Orlando. Howard can fire SVG and gm Smith if he re signs? Magic deny of course. Smith of course wants to trade Howard now but ownership dragging feet.

I think Jersey will be waiting to see if they need that pick for a Howard trade.

I think the Diaw trade will go through last minute if at all.

Beginning to think Diaw deal wont go through. I did see a rumor where the Jazz were interested in Augustin. No additional info on that rumor, though.

There is still plenty of time before the deadline.

Gotta wonder if they are keeping him or moving him in another deal? He really trashed them his last stay there. Spears says no buy out.
