I doubt it, and I hope not.

A few more regulars would be great, but not hundreds more.

I hope not as well. I prefer quality over quantity.

It won't. I think it speaks to age. Even though there are alot more Jays fans out there than Raptors, the raps board will always be more active because the fanbase is generally alot younger.

This past offseason was the closest we got to being like the Raptors board, and it was awful.

What's the estimated difference in regular users? I browse this forum every day, but maybe post once a week. I assume there are a lot more users like me, but I'm generally aware of the majority of posters in each thread. I like that familiarity as well.

I may be mistaken, but isn't RealGM primarily a basketball forum, at least originally?

I don't think that any board is going to get as big as the bball boards.

Please no, I love the Blue Jays board because it's quality over quantity.

They're not. The fan demographics are just completely different.

Just so you guys are aware, I won't be promoting the Jays forum on the Raptors board anymore.

The forum has grown in size enough that's it's not needed, the new people here will need to find the forum on their own.

I know Schad will be happy about this.

Haha agreed.

I like the lower volume since it's easier to keep up with everything (i read every post on this forum). Also the posters here have a great deal of baseball knowledge. I've learned a lot about the game from this board.

One Raptors board is definitely more than enough. However, we'll still get that influx of posters coming over whenever the Jays make a substantial move (see Doc trade). :D

I wouldn't contribute it to laziness. Generally, a lot of what needs to be said has already been discussed and a lot of times, if you don't come prepared with statistics in certain arguments, you can feel overwhelmed. For instance, you can tell me all about how the stats support that Morrow is a good pitcher, but I don't have any confidence in him because of what I've seen from him. That's an argument for another day, but for people who really enjoy baseball, but not necessarily the sabermetrics of it, you tend to sit back and stay quiet if you can't contribute much to it.

I agree with this.
