It's been awhile since I posted here but if we did have to trade which seems likely based on recent reports...Also recently reported that the Bulls are trying to trade for Pau Gasol...How would you feel about this three team deal with us possibly getting the Bulls Charlotte 1st....

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt XVII: Trade Deadline con
This has been a long time coming for many members who never believed Dwight wanted to stay. It's time to put the emotions outside tho and hope the FO shops Dwight very well. That means one thing: trade Dwight for the "best available offer" no matter if it's NJ or not.
It's time to remake the trade board. NJ wants to offer very little. Is Lopez and a pick worth it? I'm high on Lopez but without Marshon and a lottery pick, I'm immediately putting another offer I didn't like before at/near the top of the board; Bynum, without Gasol. It's also a strong position of negotiation to the other teams. It's a "signal of the end of Dwill in NJ" move to try and keep a NJ offer honest/good and it helps set the tone a little on Dwight offers.
I wonder, since Lal has no cap space, could we not trade Dwight for Bynum now, and maybe not only now, but use up Dwights contract and trade for Bynum after the playoffs? It sounds very tempting and possible with Lal having no cap space and if neither Lal/ORL win a title so the motivation is there. Dwight would have to sign off on the trade in the summer tho, which I don't think he does, so Im up for making the deal now-2 days.
I also think Atl, GS, Hou are betting they can not only convince Dwight to re-sign, but also get a great/top Adidas offer in their big markets. We def could be renting Dwight out to set him on one of those plans to see Adidas money and new settings at the same time. Where do the offers go on the trade board?
I'm going to guess the offers we can get and make my own board but I think ORL is waiting until Weds/Thurs to finish it. It is what it is, we all love Magic basketball and have terrific ownership and coaching. I'm happy to see Dwight play these years here and I'm also ready for what's next. I'm a firm believer in lottos and rookie salary players, get a bunch like OKC did or at the least a core before we use our Florida, no tax lure in FA signings. I know RDV wants to remain competitive in the new Amway so I'm hoping to dump some bad contracts and take on some prospects/picks with the headliner All star/player in return.
Atl- Josh Smith and Al Horford.
NJ- would be here with still with Lopez, Marshon, their lotto pick. Everything else we wanted extra is prolly gone. No Morrow, Humphries, extra picks. It'd prolly be Okur as the filler and to get those top 3 assets, we'd prolly have to give up on sending Turk out. I believe J Rich is tradeable any time, any where (even if it's a TPE, pick) but adding him with/without BBD is a good move for NJ's roster and for our rebuilding with cap space and gaining NJ assets.
Lal- Bynum with prospects like Ebanks and picks. We can prolly send out Turk but we need expiring in return, not this Blake/Metta long term deal BS. Getting Gasol would make this a top offer unfortunately, even if we have to send out Jameer with Turk and Dwight.
Hou- Lowry, Martin, CLee, 1-2 more prospects like Morris/picks for Dwight and Jameer, maybe Turk or BBD also.
GS- Curry, Klay, Ekpe and picks. (Ellis is alternative but him and Lee are big money contracts, better off helping Dwight in GS)
Nj- Lopez and one of lotto or Marshon.
Atl- Horford or Smith with expirings instead of Joe's deal.
Nj- No Lopez. Expirings. Picks.
There's always a small shot at a weird deal like Chi, NYK, Lac, Bos jumping into it with Lal/Nj simultaneously setting low top offers. If Chi gives up Noah, Gibson and Asik (no need for Deng) I'd trade Dwight without bad deals added, and that deal would be around right after NJ's top best offer, so if they don't offer it to ORL, we make that deal with Chi.
NYK and Lac deals are top of the list deals if they exist, and ORL has to prolly approach them first. Both have the big time star and markets for Dwight and his Adidas money. Will Carmelo, Tyson and Shumpert work for Dwight and J Rich? What about the 40-ish ppg lineup we are getting out of Dwight and Ryan for DJ and Blake? That enough offense/defense for Lac to open their eyes to and make a deal?
Bos and Hou are also good offers. They give ORL their future PG- Lowry or Rondo. You shouldn't go for small when bigs are in other offers, but frankly, if ORL FO/Scouting is put off by Lopez, Bynum and his injuries, Tyson and his age/deal, Horford/Smith's "PF-ness," and Hou, Bos, GS are adding other compelling pieces (Klay, CLee, Morris, Bradley, Picks) then it could justly be a PG race here between Rondo, Lowry and Curry. I had Bynum as one of top offers without NJ's best offer anymore, but all three of these PG offers are potentially higher depending on the filler prospects and picks Lal's offer really lacks outside of Bynum. A trade board is meant to be interchangeable after all. It's all up to the wits and intelligence of our Magic FO/Scouting to see what's the best offer on the board for their own team in the team's reshaping/rebuilding.
(After that, with such a top flight ownership and coaching staff, I think it's time to rebuild a top flight basketball FO starting at GM. I admire Otis' moves, you can find his history of trading/moves and not complain too much as you think and we did make constant 52 win seasons and ECFs/playoffs but I think we all feel he messed a critical trade, cap space strategy up one too much to continue his GM contract. It's time to make something like SA's FO. Have the best management top to bottom, fill around the RDV group and SVG&staff with a top GM candidate even if the position is open searching for a while.)

There is nothing in that article that says anything where Dwight has said what he would like to do.
It is all pure speculation throughout that article.
I have yet to hear Concrete Facts that the Magic are entertaining trades for Dwight or that Dwight even still wants to be traded.
