you got a summary for the lazy?

Chris Paul talks mostly about Clippers stuff.
Dave Cowens talks about the old Celtics days, the difference between eras. (great listen)
Robert Horry talks about championship teams, Hakeem, the Lakers, his role on teams. (great listen)
Chris Mullin talks about overpaid young players, the legendary '92 Monte Carlo scrimmage (great listen)
Steve Kerr talks just about everything, god I love listening to him, knows basketball. (amazing listen)
Kevin Love talks mostly about T-Wolves stuff.
Dirk Nowitzki talks about the championship team, championship celebration.

I'm probably biased but the old guys seemed more entertaining. Simmons did ask everybody about possible deadline trades and the contenders though. There are a bunch of good podcasts with all kinds of journalists (the Mike Breen one is good, btw) about the possible trades before the deadline (a lot of OKC, LAL, BOS stuff), possible playoffs scenarios, the Bulls, Heat and Thunder, Linsanity etc.

Damn, I'm a basketball junkie. Love this Bill Simmons stuff. At one point on Saturday, I think I listened to six hours of non-stop podcasts.

I don't like how Simmons manages to throw a pot shot on Charlotte in everything he writes

It's kind of like a comedian who only makes fun of one thing or person. It's like, I get that you're not obligated to talk about more than one thing but could you shut the **** up, Dane Cook?

making fun of charlotte is too obvious to be funny. to make me laugh you have to make fun of something that is original.

its like going to see a stand up comic and they make fun of kim kardashian the entire time. too easy.

I'm in the southernmost part but a lot of people I know were around. Most were unaffected though.

Here's a Bobcats joke:

Every time the Bobcats lose, Diaw eats a doughnut.

Haha.

Probably true. :(

I'd say it's more like five doughnuts, a coke, three big macs, two large fries and a cheeseburger. Then again it wouldn't sound as good, if used for the "every time the Bobcats lose" joke...

Are you talking about how Invisible Children frequently distorts the truth or how Kony is a complete jackass who I hope gets assassinated....

Anybody else catch this about Doug Christie?

VH1’s Basketball Wives: LAstar Jackie Christie, wife of former NBA player Doug Christie, revealed in a radio interview today that she and her hubby would be producing porn.
“I’m producing an adult film, me and my husband Doug. We’re executive producing and stuff,” Jackie told radio host Rickey Smiley on his show.
While she didn’t offer any further details neither Jackie nor Doug would be in front of the camera—all the acting roles would be played by porn stars.

The NFL offseason is off to a hot start. **** going down all over the place.

I've got to say, this is by far my favorite time of the year in the sports world:
- The NFL offseason (FA / draft)
- The NBA trade deadline
- Spring Training / gearing up for fantasy baseball (I'm a total FBB nerd)
- March Madness

when i saw the headline i assumed it would be those two getting it on and the thought of that made me almost not want to ever look at porn again. thankfully that was not the case and all is well in the world.
