If D12 is traded then the change to resign him is completely gone. So I guess its good I don't make these decision.

No one knows, If he plays today against the spurs then it will probably be tomorrow.

If he doesn't play then I think something will happen tonite.

If Dwight is doing what everyone is accusing him of he is a true idiot. There is no reason for him to ask for the trade in the first place if he was dead set on going there. All he had to do was sit down, shut up , play the season and then go there in FA and there assets would have been fine.

Now there was risk there because the Nets would not have know his intentions, unless they did meet. Now that he is allowed to talk to the Nets there is even less reason for him to pull this crap.

Now unless he stays he looks like such an evil ass and it ruins his squeaky clean image.

Let's say we don't trade him. We try and see how deep we can go in the PO and who knows if we play right we have a chance at beating anyone. This may be our best chance at a Championship in the next 10 years.

Can you tell me one trade that will give us a legit shot at a title?

Dwight wants to win. Team wins. He cancels trade request. Now the spin is that he wants to leave in FA?

A reporter asked him after the game "When did you change your mind?" and he responded "I didn't change my mind".

While he technically might have cancelled his trade request, the motive is still the same. He wants out.

I would like dwight to stay but NO WAY IN HELL im falling for his bs manipulative spin about roll the dice. dude wants to go to the nets and wants the nets to keep their assets. f that. im concerned about the franchises future too not only about this season. yeah the magic has a great run going on but the truth is there is no chance they can beat the bulls heat and probably the hawks and celts in a 7 game series.

I dont want Melo here, dont trade for him! In one year he will be asking to be traded again.

As for D12, i think he wants to win it here this year, so he can leave in offseason and at least say that he brought a 'ship to Orlando.

I am not even sure why this is an issue. He wants to keep his options open. why would he commit himself to a cause right now that he does not completely believe in?

Dwight really wants a championship, saw us pump the Heat last night and thought "Feck i might win something with these guys, better not miss an opportunity, I'll tell em I'll stay for the season, that way i can be sure i ain't missed a trick here" so I'm actually up for sending him elsewhere for rent/signing depending on the package, If the Lakers are still willing to package Bynum to us that wouldn't be too bad, we just need to ninja the suns medical staff, although he may be due in court in the near future for the rape of Marc Gasol last night.

Yeh, this isn't really like he has 2 years left on his contract and "cancelled" his trade request (like JSmoov for example). Why WOULD he want to be traded now? He wanted to be traded early so he could have his year run with DWill or Kobe or Dirk or whatever. Now that we are almost at playoff time, at the deadline, we have his best shot of making a run right now (Nets pieces, including D-Will are all injured, Dallas is playing like trash, he prob doesn't really want to go to LA because of Shaq-comparisons and playing second fiddle to Kobe etc). If we DON'T trade him (as he now wants), any team he might go to in FA will have ALL of the assets they still want to have, gives them the ultimate flexibility as well to make other moves. It's a win-win for Dwight. Of COURSE he doesn't want to be traded NOW. The only real reason he would, would be for the extra guaranteed money, but we've all discussed at length how this really isn't that much of a deciding factor (would be easily made up by a bigger Adidas contract in NYC, more endorsements, hell....prob under-the-table Prok bribe $$$, next contract, etc).

Now he plays a card where if the Magic trade him, he can play the victim, if they don't he can leave and claim he was genuinely conflicted. This is all for himself. You think any of his teammates really believe he wants to actually be there with them, all-in? I doubt it. I was at the game, feet from the court, and the body language spoke VOLUMES....from warm-ups (almost nobody talked to Dwight....he was by himself dunking and shooting FTs for 10 seconds while the national anthem started, very disrespectful) to timeouts (towards end of huddle, ignoring Stan) to halftime, to after the game (not celebrating an amazing victory, head down into locker room)...

Yeah, I was surprised, too. Couldn't believe it, here is the tweet:

Michael Wallace ‏ @WallaceNBA_ESPN
Completely stunned by Dwight's comments. I asked him privately when did he change his mind. "I never did change it."

Well then obviously he is a liar one way or another. You can't request a trade.....then when people ask you during the year if anything has changed and you say no.....then you ask to play out the season at the deadline....then somebody says when did you change your mind and he says he didn't? Umm....what? Which one is it? You can't say you want to be traded, then say you want to stay, then when somebody asks you when did you change, say "I didn't". Welcome to typical D12 logic. Doofus.

If bynum can stay healthy he is the closest thing to keeping us relevant. We don't need to change our style of play on offense. The problem is our defense would suffer greatly and that eliminates our ability to beat teams like the heat.

It really is loose, loose. I for one would rather have the chance at one championship that no chance for one in the next decade.
