You are gullible. I'm pretty sure Dwight is not the mastermind, but he sure is carrying away what's he's been told to do and say. Ever heard of Dan Fegan?

Wallace was traded from the Blazers to the Hawks to Pistons in 48 hours. I think he even played one game for the Hawks so it can be done unless the rules have changed.

Ok then theres precedent for it then. Wasn't sure, but even then I doubt it happens anyways.

we just beat the 2 best teams in the nba within the week. i am not saying we are nba championship quality but adding monta now would disrupt our system. you would most likley have to give up one of our top 3 point shooters. i say ride this out the rest of the year.

Dwight doesn't have to be the one planning this. That's y you have agents and handlers.

I can't believe people are not seeing things for what they really are. What, right after his sales pitch Dwight was asked if his mind changed and him answering it'd hasn't is not clear enough?

im confident that monta isn't in a magic jersey right now because dwight doesn't want it to happen. if we get him monta he would look very bad leaving for jersey.

Why do people want Bynum? So we can be a worse version of ourselfs and stay in playoff hell and resign him to a monster contract?

Can't Monta only be traded for one player straight up? Or is it that HE can't be packaged with another player? What is that exact rule? I doubt they are going to flip him in the next 24 hours....almost no chance. If anything they would move Jennings (which supposedly they had a deal to, but it fell through).

The rule is just that Monta can't be packaged.
Milwaukee is def keeping him though.

How about giving SOME people some minimal credit to be able to piece together that 1+1=2? There are tons of obvious reasons why he would want to stay for the rest of the season. This isn't some master conspiracy. He saw what happened with Melo in NYC (as did all of us) when it got gutted. We all know he isn't making a playoff run if traded to NJ (where he wants to end up), so why would he want to go there now anyways? I mean, this isn't rocket science. Don't forget the tampering charges, meeting with NJ earlier, talking to D-Will to set all this up, etc etc. Don't need some "Yahoo article" to be able to make me think that he wants to look out for himself in all respects (hell, he said it himself that's what he has to do.....to "do what's best for me".....oh that, and you know, follow what GOD wants him to do....because GOD cares about Brooklyn basketball......................).

If re-signing the best center in the game would be a good idea, why would re-signing the second-best center in the game be a bad idea?

This is my argument. Bynum is often injured and he is maybe 80% as good as Dwight. I would be OK with trading for Blake because he is still on a rookie deal, but trading for Bynum and his huge contract is not the right first step in a rebuild.

you have the right idea, but more often than not they can work these things out and still comply with the cba.

Seriously, Dwight is too busy playing Call of Duty and Words with Friends. Fegan, Billy King, Prok are all the ones telling him what to do/say. Stop giving Dwight so much credit.

Ok I am an enitre 90 pages behind now, thanks guys.....

Ok so I don't know if I am bringing a new perspective on this. But I'll say it anyway. If Howard is committed to playing this out. Keep him. Roll the dice. If you want to trade, trade only for Bynum. This team is already in a "win now" mode. Bynum on offense is everything Howard isn't and could still improve on defense. Bynum also IMO has something to prove and would be eager for the chance.

Another fact, is that this is a lockout season. With 22-23 condensed games remaining literally anything could happen with injuries, tiredness settling in and whatnot. Rolling the dice could very well win is a title.

I was never against that trade, unless Dwight would stay.

He's proven that he won't, though. ANd I think most people are upset because he is trying to trick us.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Howard averaging 21 points a game on like 58% FG a game? How in the hell is that a bad offensive player?

Any way, Howard isn't getting traded and if you want believe every thing the media tells you.
