I was never against that trade, unless Dwight would stay.

He's proven that he won't, though. ANd I think most people are upset because he is trying to trick us.

Again when did they hand out the damn superpowers and why did everyone pick mind reading?

I picked the ability to fly, so I am at a disadvantage here.

Since he really has no choice this year, what does his "commitment" really mean? Nothing.

Another fact, is that this is a lockout season. With 22-23 condensed games remaining literally anything could happen with injuries, tiredness settling in and whatnot. Rolling the dice could very well win is a title.

Agree that this compacted season makes things much more volatile, but I would still trade him for Bynum at this point. Show Bynum the love, center the offense on him, watch the city embrace him, and see Bynum expound on how much better it is in Orlando than LA. That's about the best case scenario at this point.

Have you not noticed that when people have asked him over the past few months if he would consider resigning in Orlando in the summer or opting in, that EVERY time to my knowledge since the first interview...he doesn't say anything about "if you get so and so, yes...." or "if you are willing to change, yes"....no. Instead, it it ALWAYS the stupid cliche "all I am worried about is this moment". Blah blah. What a copout. What a pussy. What a loser. What a follower, which I have ALWAYS said he is, not a leader. I kind of hope his teammates come out and just rip him a new one if/when he is traded. I'd love to hear their perspective on the whole thing.

What I find funny in all of this is the fact Howard never took the Magic off his list so in regards to the "I never changed my mind" comment, well he never did and now it seems like he wants to stay. We shall see.

Here is the thing I meant about "committed" players have contracts, but they also willingly "throw in the towel" at times. This team is built around a strong center with average offensive skills and amazing defensive skills. Bynum is the closest in terms of a replacement as we can get. So I agree, if we do feel like we must get something back for Howard, we need to trade for Bynum.

I can't believe people still don't realize that this is NOT about basketball. This is about money. Ship his ass out and let him watch from home.

Before we get all midevil on Dwights personality. There are a lot of people on this board who if were being told they could make this kind of money playing basketball wouldn't chase the money instead of rings.

I mean c'mon if you could get the endorsements that are likely being promised him and all you had to do was move you would likely do it. It would be like winning the lotto for you. My take, "Do what you wan't Dwight. Once you take that jersey off I am not a fan of you. I can't insult a man for wanting to get the most money out of this volatile world."

If it was all about money and winning, he would have already been shipped to Chicago. Rose and Howard on the same team? That is a HUGE money maker. Apparently though, if you believe the rumors, Howard turned down a trade to the Bulls.

And then I guess my question would be, why turn down the cake and the icecream too? If Howard was truly that evil, money hungry person, he would already be in a Lakers uniform or Bulls uniform.

This leader talk bores me, not everybody has to be a leader to be successful at what they do. The biggest pussies are those calling someone a pussy on the internet. no offense, my comment is not directed to anybody in particular.

Do 0.1% of what dwight did for orlando and then you get to talk.

I am simply sending him where he wants to go. He wants the Nets, so ship his ass to the Nets. What more need be said?

You know, you're making compelling arguments in your posts. I've never believe anything BS, Bianchi, or Stephen A has said. Why should I start now? Cause it sounds good? Negative.

Sheesh whats that some Dumb athlete stereotype? How dumb do you have to be to not want to play on a team that has pieces traded away? Mastermind? thats just basic common sense. Just because he is an athlete doesn't mean he's dumb. Drop the stereotyping.

I have a lot of respect for RDV. He has shown a willingness to spend and a desire to win that rivals any other owner in the NBA. But if he truly believes that Dwight will stay, and all we need to convince him is a few playoff wins, then I really need to start questioning his competence. Otis has killed this team, but he's right about this one.

Unfortunately, Dwight has now put Otis in an impossible situation. If Otis makes a trade, he's the bad guy because Dwight said he wanted to stay. If Otis doesn't make a trade, he's the bad guy when Dwight leaves this summer and we get nothing.

So, now that Dwight has effectively screwed this franchise, I'd like to not hear any more about how much he's done for us or how good of a guy he is. He's weak, childish, and greedy. That's all there is to it.

What I find even funnier is how some on here consider a team with one of the worst records in the league to have "pieces". If you mean pieces of garbage, minus Williams, then you would be right.

All this talk, and our only move will be trading Orton to Hou for a top 58 protected 2nd Rd pick.
