i really do believe dwight is conflicted, but if a resolution is what we need right now, i'd be fine with bynum. i believe that beats dwight walking for nothing and having to rebuild from scratch. that seems like a really difficult and painful process. i think we've been spoiled by 3 #1 draft picks in a short span. we can't expect that sort of luck to continue.

i also believe bynum would be better than a nets package. the draft pick from the nets won't be that appealing to me even in a stacked draft. owning the bobcats' or similar team's pick would be a different story. i would hope to get a good player with the net's pick, but i probably shouldn't expect the player to be as impactful as we would all hope.

I am happy Dwight is staying. People can keep dreaming up trades that won't ever happen. It is like a video game to them.

Umm, no we arent. and NJ picks arent going to be that great either. suck ass next year and in 2013 get a high draft pick. by that time Turk is tradeable at 6 mil only, trade J rich now for Beasley to get rid of that contract, Jameer is off the books. have the opportunity to sign a good FA that offseason and get a good draft pick. Whether we have Lopez and Marshon doesnt change the fact that we will still suck. We arent making the playoffs with those two. I have to think long term and that is to keep Dwight, let him walk, suck next year (which will suck), get a high draft pick and sign a solid FA and start rebuilding. This is the best option for us.

and im NOT taking Bynum on his 80 year old knees. i cringe everytime i see him go up for a rebound thinking his knee cap is going to bust.

Unless the Magic can get a Superstar that keeps them in contention, then why trade to keep the team a mediocre 30-40 win team. I would rather play the young-uns we have here and win 20 games while getting a decent pick in 2013 with over $30 million in cap room to work with.

That right there blows away any trade offer out there now. I would enjoy a team with Ryno, JJ, Liggins, Harper, Clark getting major minutes.

On the other hand, if Dwight ends up resigning, then we are in a Dream scenario. Why are people here thinking it is the end of the world.

I have spoken to many Magic fans today outside RealGM and every single one is happy Dwight is staying. Most are season ticket holders. Only people here are pissed off. I am starting to think people here are 2k12 fans.

I agree with this I honestly don't thing its a done deal that hes gone just yet.

NJ package: Dwight + Duhon for Okur, Brooks, Lopez, Humphries + 2 1st rounders

LAL package: Dwight+Hedo+Duhon for Bynum+Metta+Fisher

NJ package: Dwight + Duhon for Okur, Brooks, Lopez, Humphries + 2 1st rounders

I believe we should be in full rebuild mode. This gives us a decent draft pick this season and a better chance at sucking next season and hopefully picking up a bonafide stud.

Both these trades put us in mediocrity. 1st option: Lopez is soft, and now he is injury prone. Brooks is ehhh ok but thats it. Okur is gone along with Humprhies next year anyways. NJ's draft picks suck if Dwight goes to that team. They are only 4 games or so out of the playoffs. You dont think Dwight will get them there?? i do. so scratch that. Option two: Bynum is a HUGE risk that is not worth taking. so you want him to have more touches and work harder on his already bum knees where he isnt the focal point on the offense and where Pau can help on rebounds??? Ok maybe Ryan can help out on rebounding, but Bynum as our workhorse is SUICIDE!!! he will break down by game 30. so scratch that.
The only option is to keep Dwight at hopes at a title this year. Suck next year and get a solid draft pick, trade Turk whose contract is more tradeable then, trade J rich now to Minny for cap relief, and try to sign a marquee FA in the offseason in 2013. THIS IS THE ONLY OPTION.

I'd be happy with getting Melo/Chandler for Dwight, I know some of you won't, but that's a great return

We wouldn't be better. But we would at least be interesting. I honestly hope Dwight is learning something by Carmelo's example.

Huge waste of time too. This thread would be 100x's more readable if trademachine was banned.

How about the Magic win the Championship with Dwight this year.

That would be freaking AWESOME. BTW, there is not a chance in hell Bynum could lead this team to a Ship. Dude is just a good center, not great. Gasol and Kobe help make him look better. Dwight, on the other hand, is a game changer.
